Hi,
This is Teresa.
I'm so glad you're here.
This is a gentle meditation for moments when you notice yourself holding on tightly to an outcome,
A person,
A dream,
Or even a version of yourself,
And you're curious about what it might feel like to soften without losing what matters.
There's nothing to fix here,
Nothing you need to let go of before you're ready.
Just an invitation to create a little more space inside your body and see what becomes possible.
If it feels comfortable,
Allow your eyes to close or soften your gaze.
Begin by noticing where your body is supported right now.
The weight of you being held by the surface beneath you.
The quiet,
Steady contact between you and the ground.
Take a slow breath in through the nose,
And a longer,
Gentle exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Inhaling softly,
Exhaling slowly.
Now bring your awareness to your hands,
Noticing if there's any subtle gripping in the fingers,
The palms,
The wrists.
Without forcing anything,
Imagine opening your hands just a little.
Not releasing,
Just loosening.
There are times in life when we hold onto what we love very tightly.
Not because we're doing something wrong,
But because we care.
And yet,
Holding too tightly can sometimes restrict our own breath,
Our movement,
Our growth.
If something comes to mind that you've been holding closely,
Imagine placing it gently into the open palm of your hand.
You're not giving it away.
You're simply allowing it to rest without effort.
Notice what happens in your body when the grip softens even slightly.
Perhaps your shoulders drop,
Your jaw unclenches,
Your breath deepens on its own.
Let your attention move to the center of your chest.
If there's tightness there,
Simply acknowledge it.
No need to push it away.
Take a slow inhale into the chest.
And as you exhale,
Imagine creating a little more room around your heart.
Love does not require tension to remain.
What is meant for you does not need to be controlled to stay.
Let that land gently.
Take another breath here,
Inhaling trust and exhaling effort.
As you prepare to return to your day,
Know that you can revisit this softening anytime.
A small release,
An open hand,
A reminder that growth doesn't have to come at the cost of love.
Take one final breath,
Slow and steady.
And when you're ready,
Allow your eyes to open,
Bringing this sense of spaciousness with you.
And as you return to your day,
Remember as always,
You are loved,
You are whole,
You are enough.
