Hi,

This is June from DAOis Everywhere.

Welcome to this relaxation meditation to help you release stress,

Anxiety,

A tight feeling in your body.

You may be overwhelmed by the current hard work that you are doing.

You might feel like pushing hard on it but feel overwhelmed and frustrated by the progress it was making.

Sometimes the best action is not to use all the force to push it forward but to take a pause and reflect on if this is the right direction to do.

Inspired by Daoism,

Wu Wei is a concept that was constantly brought up by Lao Tzu.

He never mentions hard work in Dao De Jing.

In contrary to modern life's hustling culture,

Lao Tzu advocate doing everything in opposite to the mainstream.

If the pace is too fast in the general vibe,

The right thing is to do something slow.

In the hustling culture to push everything hard at work,

The right thing is to take a pause and to do things slow and effortless.

The effortless action is not just doing nothing.

It's not about being lazy or get stagnant.

It's merely an intuitive guidance for you to reflect what are the true things you can do to achieve your soul aligned goal.

You will always head towards your goal.

There are just different paths and the paths that made you feel extraneous,

Drained in energy are not aligned with the ultimate way of life.

Wu Wei's ultimate goal is achieving things by simply doing nothing.

And that is you're still executing in actions but you're doing things that make you feel fulfilling,

Calm,

At ease,

Easy,

Joyful,

Stimulating but rewarding.

He will remind you that you are fulfilling a purpose that's aligned with who you are.

Now let's take a body scan.

Relax your neck.

Relax your shoulder.

Relax your back.

Relax your chest.

Relax your stomach.

One inhale and exhale.

Relax your stomach a little deeper.

You're now empty.

You're now relaxed.

Now think of a time or memory where you feel like you are doing work but so enjoying in the process of flow state.

You are like water flowing through all the encounters of life and all the work you have to solve but you easily pass through them without being drained.

What does that memory look like?

What does that task look like?

What are you exerting in doing that task?

How were you feeling in doing those tasks?

As we approach the end of the meditation I encourage you to take a pen or just write on your phone of what just came to your mind.

Get the intuitive guidance from those memories of the tasks that make you feel effortless.

That's your Wu Wei actions.

Let those effortless actions guide you in solving your current blockage or obstacle.

Just remember that there are many paths to your goal.

If you feel drained you might try another path that's effortless.

Thank you and I wish you a peaceful day.

Inspiring and soothing! Thank you. You have a lovely voice. I know the feeling of Wu Wei but am lacking specific memories of meaningful tasks invoking it. I will replay this several more times to see if this changes for me.
