I'm so happy to be with you right here,

Right now,

For bedtime.

Once you have brushed your teeth,

Washed your face,

And given everyone in your house a big hug,

Can you crawl into your bed and get really,

Really comfortable?

Maybe you have a stuffy you sleep with,

Or a blanket,

Or a special pillow.

Whatever it is that you like to sleep with,

Make sure you bring that in,

Too.

Now let's take a deep breath in,

And as you let it out,

Picture yourself sinking down deep into your sheets.

Let's do it again.

Ready?

Take a deep breath in,

And let it out,

And sink right down into your sheets,

And get really,

Really cozy.

Now can you put your hand on your heart,

Your big,

Big heart?

Feel it beating in your chest.

Your heart is magic.

You are the only person in the whole entire world with that heart.

Take a deep breath in,

And let it out.

Now let's think of the day that you just had.

What did you do today?

What are your favorite moments of the day?

When did you laugh the hardest?

Now let's think of the food that you ate right from breakfast and all the way till dinner.

In your head can you say,

Thank you food?

Good.

Now think of the people you saw today.

People in your family,

People at school,

Friends,

And teachers.

Let's think of all of the people that you saw today,

And can you say thank you?

Was it sunny out today?

If it was,

Can you say thank you sun?

And if there was rain,

Can you say thank you rain?

If there was snow,

Say thank you snow.

Now think about all the things that you felt today.

Did you feel angry or sad or frustrated?

If you cried,

Can you say thank you tears?

Say thank you to all of the feelings that you had today.

Now can you say thank you to that moon?

And say thank you to the stars?

And say thank you to the room that you're sleeping in?

Say thank you to the bed and your blankets,

Thank you to your pillow.

Now look back and make sure you didn't miss anything.

Do you have anything else to say thank you to?

Put your hand on your heart,

That big,

Big heart.

You were the only person with a heart like yours.

Can you say thank you heart?

Now I want to say thank you to you.

Thank you for being exactly who you are.

Thank you for being brave and loving.

And thank you for being a part of our Big Yellow Boot family.

I'm sending you a big bedtime hug from all of us in the Big Yellow Boot.

You are so important and you are so loved.

I love eggs and toast,

But I love you the most.

We can't wait to see you again tomorrow in our Big Yellow Boot.

Goodnight.
