Can you touch the top of your head?

Now,

Can you touch your ears?

What lives in between your ears?

Your brain?

Yep.

What else is in there?

Let's be really quiet for a minute.

Close your eyes and listen.

Do you notice when you close your eyes,

There's a little tiny voice in there?

Sometimes the voice says sunny thoughts,

And sometimes the voice says cloudy thoughts.

A sunny thought would be,

Everything is going great and I'm having fun.

And a cloudy thought is a thought that puts a cloud over your heart.

We call it a cloudy thought because of how they make us feel.

Cloudy thoughts make us feel not very good.

A cloudy thought would be something like,

I'm not as good as anyone else.

I can't do it.

I'm not even going to try.

Can you close your eyes and listen right now to the voice in your head?

Now let's imagine that the voice belongs to a little tiny person.

And this person is the size of your pinky finger.

And their name is Ohmy.

Can you wave and say,

Hi Ohmy.

Ohmy is waving back to you.

Ohmy loves to talk.

Do you notice that sometimes Ohmy says some cloudy thoughts?

Sometimes Ohmy forgets their big heart and says lots of cloudy things.

And your big heart mission is to remind them of their big heart.

Can you do this?

I know you can.

Close your eyes again and let's picture Ohmy inside your head.

When Ohmy starts saying cloudy thoughts,

Instead of believing what Ohmy is saying,

Remember your big heart and let's go on a big heart mission.

Can you say,

I love you Ohmy,

But what you are saying is not true.

Oh my,

I love you Ohmy.

Jump on my hand and I'll show you what we can do.

Hold your hand out and bring your palm beside your ear.

Ohmy jumps on your hand.

Now bring Ohmy close to your heart.

Take a deep breath in and let it out.

Feel the magic of your heart.

And every time Ohmy says something cloudy,

Listen to your heart instead.

Focus on your heartbeat and repeat.

One I love you,

Two I love you,

Three I love you,

Four I love you,

Five I love you.

Now watch the yellow and blue sparkles of your heart sprinkling all over Ohmy.

And as this happens,

Something magical happens.

Ohmy's big grouchy frown turns into a big smile and Ohmy starts to dance.

Ohmy lifts their little knees up to the sky,

Dancing in joy.

Ohmy is putting their hand out.

Ohmy wants to dance with you.

Can you dance with Ohmy?

Lift your knees up to the sky.

You did it.

You have the biggest heart.

You and your big heart are magic.

Every time you hear Ohmy saying things that put a cloud over your heart,

You know what to do to show them their big heart and to help them dance again.

I love you.

It was super funny and cute. Also you left really good pauses that helps people keep up. Also don’t listen to Adam. It’s good and helpful to to all!

This his son my 9 year old son’s favourite meditation! We listen to it every morning together before school and he loves it. We both drew our Oh My characters and we use the term for mindful thought awareness daily. It’s great to be able to incorporate concepts from the meditation into daily life. Thank you!

This was amazing, we giggled with my 5 year old the whole way through. Taking” Sunny & clouds thoughts “ with us and using it for our day to day use! I would recommend a great way of kids are struggling with negative thoughts!
