This is Sylvia and this is a special yoga nidra practice to support you through the solar eclipse time.
Eclipses are moments where the energy can feel unstable and unsettling.
Our balance can feel compromised and we can use practices like yoga nidra to unwind and start grounding our heart from a place of ease,
Stability and freedom.
Let's begin by finding and preparing your yoga nidra space,
A place where you can start focusing your energy.
Prepare your space with care and nothing fancy is required here,
But you want to make sure your body feels cozy and comfortable.
You can choose the traditional Shavasana,
Which is your body on the ground with your heart facing the sky.
You can choose a side fetal position with a pillow or a towel between your legs,
Just making sure your body feels taken care of.
Your head gently rests down,
Your neck is embraced and your chest can drop down,
Your hips can discharge on the soil and your whole body can rest.
Taking a pause to ground and feel the connection with life again.
Welcoming yourself in the space of receiving,
Consciously choosing to listen to my voice and to be in your body,
In your beauty as a human being,
Sensing the brain in your skull,
This muscle responsible for so much life that is happening outside of your conscious choice.
Let it be here as it is,
Allow your brain here now as it is,
Witnessing your desire to give your brain a break,
No need to do anything or to go anywhere,
Just witnessing your mind,
Body and soul start to rest down on the ground supporting you.
And you might find the desire to stop thinking from happening,
Let it happen,
It will follow you along this journey and if it doesn't want to do so,
That's okay,
Just allow the process to unfold.
Let your chest experience the support of the ground,
Let your stomach follow,
Your pelvic area draining down,
Control on the ground,
Along with your legs melting down into the ground.
No need to do anything,
Just perceive where you can relax down into the earth,
Allow your feet,
Your toes grounding down with your body,
Your energy sinking down,
It is said that eclipses are optimal times for listening,
Listen to the dance of light and dark,
So we listen down into the ground,
The whole body becoming attuned to receiving sounds,
Receiving your breath,
Sensing how the breath enters and exits your body without you needing to do anything,
The constant rhythm of your breath allowing you to sink down in the moment,
Each inhale and exhale happening without you needing to do anything at all,
And in this awareness that you are cultivating here,
Allow your heart's longing,
Your sankalpa to emerge,
Sankalpa is a sacred word for intention of the heart and it travels through times and spaces and has the potential to change your life and the life of everything and everybody around you,
Guides you and pulls you,
It can take the form of phrases like I am grounded,
Stable and free,
Or I gracefully embrace all parts of my being,
Or I allow the truth of my heart to shine through my words,
My actions and my being,
Or if you are not sure of your direction right now,
I offer you the statement,
I deeply listen to my life right now and that's enough,
Whatever resonates with you,
Make a choice and trust your intuition,
It is already guiding you to what is best for you in your journey right now,
Silently repeat your sankalpa three times now,
Allowing your intention to guide you as it best knows,
Letting this go now,
Trusting it has been heard and acknowledged,
Your intention now oversees the past,
Present and future and invite your awareness to ground now at the center of your brain,
You might sense or feel it takes the shape of a point of ease and presence,
Stability at the altar of your mind,
Center of the eyebrows,
Presence,
Ease,
Right eyebrow,
Left eyebrow,
A present sphere of the eye grounding back and down into the skull,
All the micro muscles of the left eye easing tensions under your presence,
Inside the ear canal,
Presence of awareness,
Absorbing sound,
Back of the throat,
The tongue,
Feel the presence of a point of ease at the tip of the tongue,
Continue in this way,
Inside your mouth,
Lower gums and teeth,
Upper gums and teeth,
Lips,
Tip of the nose,
Right cheek,
Left cheek,
The jaw,
Point of ease on the hinges of the jaw,
Center of the throat,
Grounding point of stability,
Right clavicle,
Shoulder,

Center of the palm,
Point of ease and presence down to the fingers,

All five fingers of the right hand,
Presence of ease between the fingers,
Taking the time to move your awareness to the right side of your chest,
Center of your chest,
A point of presence and stability,
Left side of your chest,
Left clavicle,
Shoulder,

Center of the palm,
Point of ease and presence down to the fingers,
Thumb,
First,
Second,
Third,
Fourth,
All five fingers of the left hand,
Presence of ease between the fingers,
Center of the chest,
Solar plexus,
A sphere of presence and stability here,
Down to your belly,
Your sacrum,
Presence grounded here at the sacrum,
Right hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Ankle,
Sole of the right foot,
Presence and stability at the sole of the right foot,
Down to your toes,
Big toe second,
Third,
Fourth,
Little toe,
Presence and ease between the toes,
Taking your time to move up the right leg back to the grounding point of the sacrum,
Left hip,
The knee,
Ankle,
Center of the left foot,
A place of ease and stability down to the toes,
Big toe,
Second,
Third,
Fourth,
Little toe,
Ease in the space between the toes coming up the left leg,
Back of your body,
All the way up to the back of your neck,
Sensing the presence and ease up to your skull,
A place of ease and stability throughout your skull,
Front of the body,
Back of the body right side,
Left side,
The whole body as a place of ease and stability grounded and present throughout the entire field of the body,
Presence and stability throughout the entire field of the body gently guiding your awareness to sink into your breath now natural breath of your body happening in this space sensing the air entering your space and leaving the body the constant effortless flow of a natural process just observe,
Witnessing the breath,
The air coming in,
The air going out just being present to the air coming in,
Just being present to the air coming out the air entering the body,
Listening,
The air coming out,
Listening the air entering the nostrils,
Grounding you into the present the air exiting the body,
Grounding you into the present moment listening to the natural rhythm in,
Breath giving presence,
Breath out leaving you with presence just witnessing,
Just listening you can gently guide your awareness now to the points of ease and stability on the right hemisphere of the body welcoming each stable point on the entire right side and then bringing your feelings to the point of ease on the left hemisphere of the body can you sense the right side filled and expanded with presence and ease?
And the left side dropping into presence,
An endless feeling of ease giving time to the right side to sink into presence,
Grounding down into ease giving time to the left side to sink into presence,
Grounding down into ease right side present and at ease,
Left side present and at ease both hemispheres of the body resting into ease and presence the entire physical body present,
At ease and stable start focusing on the space of your heart this grounding presence that continuously beats life into you approaching with your awareness this area,
Listening to the vibrations of its beat feeling how it draws you in if you let it moving closer to it and imagine to gently rest on its surface your heart as a gentle embrace taking you in its grip gently resting on its grounding beat just listen to its voice sensing how familiar it feels to rest here receiving its beats like a massage for your body,
Mind and soul draining energy into this grounding force and receiving back life from it you listening to your heart and your heart pulsating life back to you always present,
Always beating,
Always stable and while you're here you can imagine the sun rising on the horizon at dawn the glorious force of light illuminating you in a beautiful morning breathing in its energy as it warms your body and embrace you and your heart gifting you with strength,
Vitality,
Purpose and joy feel how it feels to be at ease with the power of the sun throughout a glorious day receiving the power and stability of its force and as the day progresses imagine the sunlight gifting you with the most beautiful sunset and you and your heart are basking in its golden light closing the day full of gratitude present to its immensity and the joy that brought you today with its presence and as the sun disappears in the horizon you can sense the presence of the moon rising in the sky taking your attention now feel the temperature of the air changing the blue colors of the sky resting in your eyes silence and a soft delight the soft light of the moon showering you from above sensing your breath slowing down the moon soothing you with its magic washing you and your resting body and your heart taking you into the night feel your heart below you sense the moon above you the entire space around you present,
Stable,
Grounded for you allow yourself to be loved by the sun by the moon by your heart by yourself and while you're grounded here in this space of ease allow your sankalpa to embrace you allow yourself to be listened to mentally repeating three times your sankalpa allowing your heart's desire to be listened to in this space of ease grounding you in the stability of your pure heart start sensing the weight of your head on the ground the shape of your hips your back resting on the ground making contact with your fingers and your toes sensing the surface of your body sensing the space around you and if you feel like it,
You can gently start moving your body grounding you back in the space taking time to waken up notice how you feel and what has changed inside of you just allowing yourself to waken up allow your body to stretch or express into any movement it feels grounding and ease again,
