Good morning,
Good afternoon,
Good evening.
So.
Until we realise.
And this is really the point of what we do.
Until he realized just where I was.
Or mental distress or mental suffering comes from.
Until we identify the source.
And it's not about thinking about it.
That's the problem.
It's the problem.
It's identification with thought.
It's all talked about being drunk on thought.
We don't realize how drunk on thought we are because it's been happening for so long.
And until we start to see that and just be brutally honest with ourselves that.
.
.
This is all thought made,
Thought created.
I'm not talking about pain or the challenges of life,
That's.
.
.
I'm not talking about that.
Or even the end thought.
Intensifies,
Exaggerates it.
But you know,
I've seen some people that can't even sit down and have a cup of tea without.
.
.
And I've been there myself.
Until we start to see the truth of that,
We'll tinker.
Latest affirmation.
I'm just being honest.
That don't really work.
Make a difference for a while.
It's like we have a tree in the garden and the roots are damaged and we're fiddling about with the leaves.
Cutting off the bad leaves and taking a little bit of the curly brown piece off and making it all look nice.
A few weeks later,
A few months later,
It's all back again.
But haven't dealt with the sauce.
And part of dealing with the source is to be here with whatever arises.
No matter what emotion arises,
A sadness,
A frustration,
And just do our best to stay out of the story,
Stay out of the mind,
And just experience each moment directly.
Because the mind is going to tell you something about it.
It's going to make something up.
Where the mind is a tool.
The brilliant tool.
But it misuses its brilliance.
Mine can create.
Literally creates something out of nothing.
It's a problem factory.
On its base material is nothing.
Nothing ever goes in there.
But a lot comes out.
Into that factory,
Because it just creates problems out of nothing.
And even just take the raw material of life.
You have a headache,
Off the mind goes,
It is this,
That and the other.
And I've been there.
I can still go there to some degree,
I'm not completely free of it.
But I've seen something,
It's like,
I'm not having that.
So the crack opens and you say,
Okay,
That's it.
That's where,
That's what's happening.
And you just,
You know,
You want that,
You want the peace,
You want the rest.
You want the joy.
Once you've sniffed it,
Once you've seen it.
And it's already here.
The joy,
The peace,
You don't have to go and try and create.
That's the mistake we make.
It's just that we do something else,
We do dis-ease,
We do distress.
We do on happiness.
It's something we do.
Go into the thought bar again and again and again.
Okay,
So let's sober up.
Leave the thought bar,
At least for moments.
Back to the body.
And set yourself up for the day.
Just be here.
Without straining.
So just resting in the body,
If you just joined us.
Just take a deep breath or two.
Rest in the body.
Just feel the body.
Now we can feel the breath,
Particularly the end of the out-breath if that helps So you should take your attention to the.
.
.
The silence.
I can actually feel it.
Sounds will come out of the silence,
It's fine.
Have no control over those.
And wishing to take your attention to.
The seat area,
Like the lower belly.
Just feel what you find.
You'll notice when you.
.
.
Getting lost in thought.
It's fine.
Nor drama.
You're back with real life,
The hearing,
The seeing,
The feeling.
What's happening?
Where is your attention right now?
If you lose your way,
Just feel the breath.
Or listen to the sounds.
I just wouldn't listen to the mind about it.
Okay,
That brings us to the end.
Have your little stretch,
Whatever you do.
And we'll see you tomorrow.
Bye bye.
