I'll.
.
.
No.
So many people who meditate actually,
After a time,
They give it up.
And a few reasons,
I'm not going into them all,
But one reason is expectations.
That is way off the mark.
But another reason is that,
And I did this,
For some reason I didn't,
Well I did give up,
I sort of got disillusioned with it,
Is that trying to get some work.
And by getting somewhere,
It also means that we.
.
.
That I wasn't,
We Ignore our present experience in order to follow some idea,
Some ideal that we're trying to reach.
So by default,
You're trying to get somewhere else.
You're ignoring what's here.
It's a way of trying to get out of our present moment experience.
And it's so common.
And that's often why,
You knowโฆ It just doesn't work.
People just get disillusioned with it.
Actually,
It's the opposite.
It's all about this present moment experience.
Everything else is just a dream.
So when you sleep at night,
You have all these dreams,
Might be about going on holiday or whatever it is,
They're all just thoughts and images,
They're dreams.
It's the same during the day,
It's exactly the same during the day.
When you are lost in all that,
They're just dreams,
Except for practical purposes and functional,
Obviously.
Just get lost in more dreaming.
And we don't see it.
So really it's about this experience here.
Not we're not analyzing it I'm not trying to change it.
The greatest teachers.
.
.
One good teacher said,
Last century,
Is silence.
That's why we sit in silence.
Of course we're anti-talk,
Anti-word.
It's just not in the words.
The words are just there to guide us into the silence.
Into that,
What we call a direct experience of what's happening now.
Gives this.
This present moment experience because it's all we have,
Really it's all we have.
If we really look closely,
There's nothing else going on except this present moment experience.
So we're going to do a.
.
.
Meditation around this and we particularly want to be out of our experience when there's something difficult going on so we'll do something around that so let's settle Take a few breaths,
A few deep breaths.
So let's turn towards our present moment experience.
What's here now?
Is there a sadness?
A dread of fear?
Some anxiety,
Feeling centered and calm.
Just turn towards what's here Maybe a heaviness.
Or some tension somewhere.
Just feel what's here.
Give it space.
Notice any thoughts about it,
Any judgements.
And just put them to one side.
What does it feel like?
Be soft.
Let this emotion,
Sensation be exactly as it wants to be Also notice.
A lot of your experience is not.
Uncomfortable.
Your hands.
If feet.
A sense of presence.
A spaciousness.
Keep feeling what you find,
That's all you need to do,
Nothing else.
But we feel we heal.
Don't interfere.
Don't try to heal it.
Dropping any thoughts?
Turn back.
What's actually happening in the body.
And relax.
Let this,
Whatever you give your attention to,
Let it reveal itself Just your present moment,
Direct experience.
Just feel it.
Sad feeling.
Attention.
Whatever.
Doesn't matter.
Without the story.
Nor gender.
Also just tuning into the space around this something.
It's not just this discomfort.
The spaciousness.
And now I'd like you to Just expand your awareness.
Literally just set.
You see what arises,
Sounds,
Sensations,
Thoughts Just relax.
Where is your attention right now?
OK,
Bring this to the end So have a good day guys.
