Good sleep starts with relaxation. In this meditation, you'll release all stress and tension in your physical body. This is a deep relaxation practice where you'll completely let go and embrace your true essence.

Welcome to your guided sleep meditation.

Embracing your true essence.

Take this time to make yourself completely comfortable by lying down on your back in corpse pose,

Either on your bed or on the floor.

Adjust everything,

Your clothing,

Your body,

So that you feel completely comfortable lying down.

If you like,

You can place a pillow underneath your knees so that your back feels fully supported and at ease.

Take a breath,

Inhale and exhale.

Release all the cares and worries of your day.

Let it go.

Imagine breathing in through the bottoms of your feet,

Inhaling up through the back side of your body to the top of your head,

Holding your breath,

And then exhaling.

Allow your exhale to cascade over the front side of your body,

Back out through your feet,

Releasing stress and tension.

Breathing in new energy through the bottoms of the feet,

Top of the head.

Pause and relax and exhale.

Wash over the front side of the body,

Releasing all the activity from your day.

Breathing in through the bottoms of your feet,

To the top of your head.

Exhale,

Breathing out from the top of your head,

Back out through the bottoms of your feet.

Give yourself full permission to relax and let go.

There's nowhere to go,

Nothing that you have to do,

No one you need to be.

Just being here in this present moment.

Become aware of yourself lying in the room.

Become aware and see yourself lying peacefully in the room.

Observe the way that you're breathing and notice how your belly rises and falls with each and every breath.

Inhale,

Belly rising.

Exhale,

Belly falling.

Inhale,

Belly rising.

Exhale,

Belly falling.

Becoming more relaxed.

Inhale,

Rising.

Exhale,

Falling.

Imagine that you're lying in a pool of warm,

Liquid gold.

Feel the warmth of this liquid,

Healing gold as it takes away all the toxins,

Stress,

And tension from your physical body.

Allow this liquid gold to enter in through the top of your head,

Moving down into your brain,

Behind your eyes,

Around your eyeballs,

Behind your nose,

The center of your head.

Allow it to cleanse and relax down through the center of your face.

Relaxing your face deeply from the inside out.

Allowing it to move down deep into your jaw.

Relaxing,

Opening your jaw,

The back of the throat,

Your teeth,

Your tongue.

Allowing this healing liquid gold to warm the inside of your throat.

Slowly moving down into the chest,

Through the shoulders,

Down into the arms,

The hands,

Fingertips.

See this liquid gold as it moves through the bones of your body,

Down to your heart space.

Softening,

Relaxing your chest and your inner heart.

Breathe in,

And exhale a relief.

Feeling this purifying liquid gold down deep inside your solar plexus.

Melting of tension deep within.

All you have to do is let go.

All you have to do is observe this warm liquid gold as it moves down,

Warms,

Massages,

All your inner organs,

Moving down into the abdomen,

Your back,

The whole backside of your body,

Into your hips.

The front side of your core.

Watch this liquid gold as it moves into the hip joints and warms your whole inner center.

Softens and gently relaxes your whole inner center.

Your whole inner center is deeply relaxed.

Relaxed.

You feel safe,

Protected,

And deeply nourished by this warm liquid light.

Watch this flow as it moves down into your thighs,

Through the upper legs,

Deep into the knees,

The lower legs,

The ankles,

And the feet.

This warm liquid gold to move and flow through your whole body of your right leg,

Your left leg,

Your right hip,

Your left hip,

Your right side,

Your left side,

Your right shoulder,

Your left shoulder,

In between your shoulders.

Become aware of your right brain,

Your left brain,

In between the brains.

Become aware of your front side and your back side.

Become aware of your center,

Your spine,

Your skull,

And the top of your head.

Take a breath,

Inhale.

Release everything that isn't serving you.

Let it go down into the liquid golden light.

Release all sense of responsibility,

All your problems,

Other people's problems.

Let go of past ruminations,

Future expectations.

Let go of who you think you are,

Your personality.

Just let it go for now.

The roles that you play,

The many roles that you are,

Let it go down into the golden pool.

Notice what it feels like to release your attachments to any of your roles and your responsibilities.

Become aware of where you feel that sense of release.

Take a breath,

Inhale.

And exhale.

Releasing your gender.

Letting go of your culture,

Your skin color,

The color of your eyes,

Your hair,

Your work.

The way that you look.

Letting go of your relationships,

Your financial status,

All the ways in which you see and define yourself.

Letting it go into the golden pool of awareness.

Letting go of your physical body,

Your physical ailments,

Your personal challenges and struggles,

Your thoughts,

Your emotions.

Your worries,

Your secret fears.

Let go of the idea that you're not good enough or enough.

Let go of your identification with time and age.

Releasing it all into the golden pool of awareness.

Heartfully let go of all these things.

Your size,

Your weight,

The way you are,

The way you think.

Your work,

Your sense of purpose.

Release it all into the golden pool of awareness.

Become aware of your essence.

Your pure essence.

Beyond space.

Beyond time.

Beyond this limited physical body.

Even this mind.

Your spirit.

Your pure consciousness.

Infinite.

Eternal.

Aware.

Let yourself surrender.

Surrender to stillness.

Surrender to pure awareness.

Your own vital essence.

What is your true nature?

Who are you without any identification?

Without any limitation?

Let yourself surrender to your true nature.

Bliss.

Peace.

Joy.

Allow yourself to become purified by the warm liquid light.

The warm radiant light of your consciousness.

Your divine light.

Immerse yourself in this beautiful,

Shimmering,

Palpable light of your being.

The unconditional light of your true nature.

Surrender into unconditional love.

Being.

Pure existence.

Being and breathing.

Unconditional love.

Surrendering to this deepest,

Most peaceful place within your being.

Breathing.

Softening.

Accepting.

Releasing all sense of struggle and resistance.

To just be here.

Becoming aware of the expansive,

Abundant nature of your being.

Becoming aware of your capacity to give and receive love.

And how important this is for your soul.

Immerse yourself in this golden pool of light.

Breathe in all that you are.

Breathe out what no longer serves you.

Take this time to quietly meditate on your life's prayer.

If you could choose one prayer,

One sentence,

What would it be?

A prayer that comes from deep within your heart.

Meditate now on your personal intention.

Allow yourself to connect with it deeply.

To feel it and allow it to radiate out from the center of your being.

Take this time to become aware of yourself lying on the floor or bed.

Draw all of your energy back in,

Renewed into your physical body.

Become aware of the back side of your body lying against the floor.

Notice how you're breathing.

Feel your toes and your fingertips.

Make small,

Gentle movements.

If you like,

You can slip into a deep,

Blissful rest.

Or you can begin to transition from this meditation with a renewed sense of self.

Make those gentle movements and you can gently start to blink your eyes open.
