My name is Sura.

I'm a meditation coach and trainer and the founder of Sura Flow.

Thank you for coming today.

Hopefully you have a nice quiet place to sit back and relax and listen to this guided experience.

Separation,

Breaking up can be deeply painful.

It doesn't matter how long you were together or who broke up or what happened.

It can be a devastating experience and oftentimes filled with a lot of emotion,

Intense emotions like anger or grief,

Confusion.

So it's really important to honor what you're feeling and oftentimes with those emotions come intense thoughts.

So just constant incessant thoughts about the other person,

What was said,

Conversations,

Conversations you're still having in your mind.

And so we're going to work with mindfulness tools,

Heart-based tools to help you shift out of that stronghold of intense emotion,

The incessant thoughts,

The obsessive thoughts,

The feelings,

The sense of isolation or loneliness that you might be going through so that you can use this opportunity to heal yourself and come to a more grounded and higher place within yourself,

Your own center.

It can be a very tender time when you're going through breakup and loss.

And I've also noticed that you go through cycles of grief,

So it never really just goes away at one time.

It's sort of like an ocean wave that keeps coming up again and you think it went away but then it comes up again and it rears its really strong ugly head and all those emotions come back intensely.

And this is the process of grieving and the process of experiencing loss and there's nothing wrong if you're feeling that it's taking a long time to get through it.

You know,

That's a natural part of that experience of separation.

So let's go ahead and find your most comfortable seat wherever you are.

Adjust everything so that you feel completely comfortable and at ease in your physical body.

You can close your eyes or keep them gently open.

Let your spine be tall and free.

Take a breath,

Inhale and exhale.

Let go of any stress or tension from your day.

Just releasing it,

Letting go and taking this time to turn your attention inward.

Noticing how you feel in this moment.

Exactly the way you feel.

Becoming aware of your body and how you feel in your physical body.

And your heart.

Noticing how your heart feels.

Now becoming aware of your breath and how you're breathing.

Accepting your breath as it is right now.

Letting yourself be exactly where you are in this moment.

Now bring your attention to your thoughts.

Noticing what you've been thinking about.

Especially as it pertains to your last relationship.

What were those constant thoughts and conversations and hurts,

Memories that kept surfacing over and over again.

And just let those thoughts,

Those feelings arise to the surface of your awareness.

You don't have to resist those thoughts or make them wrong.

Just allow it to come up and notice what those thoughts are.

And as you do this,

Open the witness perspective.

So see if you can observe yourself having those thoughts.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Letting yourself observe those thoughts,

Your feelings,

With a sense of neutrality.

Letting your thoughts and your feelings be as they are.

Just watching them.

Notice what shift you're starting to experience.

Perhaps there is a release or a sense of spaciousness.

Paying attention with compassion.

So as you're having these thoughts,

Any past intense thoughts and feelings,

Send yourself loving kindness.

In this moment,

Extending to yourself a sense of compassion.

Compassion towards yourself,

Towards your suffering,

Towards any feelings of regret.

Or I should have anything that you've been possibly still upset about or beating yourself up about.

Go ahead and send yourself compassion and just keep watching those old thoughts and emotions.

This is the first step to healing,

Which is accepting our thoughts and feeling our feelings.

Letting ourselves be present to what we truly feel,

Even if it's deeply uncomfortable and intense and dark.

That's the way you start the healing process.

This meditation will be a three-part meditation.

And this is the first part,

Which is observing and feeling our emotions and our body with compassion.

So that's the first step is acknowledging,

Allowing,

Observing with compassion.

And when you take that time to let yourself be with a sense of loving kindness,

It creates a spaciousness.

It creates spaciousness around the wound up thoughts and feelings.

And even if it's a little bit of breathing room,

That's progress.

So just a little bit of that breathing room and spaciousness.

That's the first step you can come to.

The second step we'll now experience is energy release.

This is a form of energy healing.

And this allows you to start to release consciously some of that old emotion and energetic residue from the last relationship.

So when we go through hard and painful experiences,

It can leave a kind of imprint on our soul,

On our energy.

And we might feel fragmented or splintered.

We might feel like we lost a part of ourselves because we have,

We were sharing energy with another person.

So you can feel out of sorts.

And this experience is just allowing energy to flow.

So the way we'll practice this is through grounding.

And grounding is an ancient technique of connecting your energy to the earth's energy.

And it creates a sense of presence,

Embodiment,

And clarity centeredness in your own energy.

So we'll begin just by allowing ourselves to now envision a grounding cord like a big tree trunk that extends from our physical body deep down with roots growing down into the earth,

Going into the center of the earth.

And imagine those roots.

And as soon as you imagine it,

It's happening.

It's your intention plus your visualization.

Imagine those roots wrapping three times around the core of the earth.

So wrapping around one,

Two,

Three,

And noticing what it's like to feel your energy connected to the center of the earth.

Again,

This creates a sense of embodiment.

Because sometimes after heartbreak,

We can feel disembodied.

We can feel very much in our mind and in our emotions.

So noticing what it's like now to connect your energy to the earth's energy with that strong grounding cord.

And go ahead and start to release energy by taking a breath,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Letting go and releasing stress,

Tension,

Sadness into the center of the earth.

Where this energy can be recycled in the molten lava of the earth.

So that intention of recycling and transformation.

And now what you're going to do with loving kindness is start to release any past energy from your last relationship.

So this is just a gentle,

Loving release of any energy entanglement or enmeshment and any negative attachments to the last person that you were with.

If there is any negative attachments.

So you're just going to now make that conscious intention,

Visualization to release energy like a dark water from your body.

And it just goes easily,

Effortlessly into the earth.

If there are any cords of attachment or again,

Those entanglements you're just going to allow them to gently release into the earth.

And any arguments or past upsets,

Anything that caused you pain,

You're just going to give yourself permission to let it go for now and to release it into the earth center,

Right into the molten lava.

So as you do this,

Start to notice what you feel.

So as you breathe in and as you breathe out,

Just notice my consciously releasing this past energy,

Past miscommunication,

Being misunderstood or not being seen or not being heard.

And then any other triggers or traumas that were related to that can let that go down as well into the earth.

You're just allowing it to stream down.

As you do this,

Notice if you feel anything in your body or anything in your energy.

Remember just to keep breathing and relaxing.

The more you relax,

The more energy flows.

Just letting it happen.

So again,

It's like you're observing this happening by itself.

There's no effort.

There's just that intention to release.

And as you do this,

Start to extend that intention of forgiveness and surrender.

Just letting yourself feel a sense of forgiveness toward yourself,

Toward the other.

And notice what that brings.

Perhaps a sense of relief and peace.

And just surrendering over,

Surrendering over the whole situation.

You could surrender it to the earth or to the divine,

Your spiritual guides,

A higher power to help you move through this experience,

To facilitate a flow of healing.

So now feel where you are in this moment and see if you feel a shift.

And again,

That connection to the earth's core.

And feel also your connection to the heavens above,

Up towards the sky,

And the connection to your spirit that has led you to this place at this time.

And the last step is nourishing your own energy with your energy.

So if we've shared energy with someone,

We're going to gently be calling our own energy back with love.

And after we complete this process,

We'll close with an intention for healing.

So now see if you can just see yourself sitting there,

Observing your inner state quietly.

And like a golden sun above your crown,

Just start to call back your own energy.

And this is your soul essence,

Your spirit.

And you're going to call it back with love,

With grace.

So if you gave your energy a lot to other people,

Or this last relationship,

Or you left your energy somewhere else,

And some other location or in the past,

Or even if you keep projecting your energy into the future,

You'll just call your energy back into this present moment.

So you're going to imagine energizing and magnetizing this golden sun of energy right above your crown.

And this is your own life force energy.

So just calling it back,

And it happens effortlessly.

Again,

There's no effort,

Just that intention,

And it happens.

And see this golden sun above your crown.

You can even just like sense this golden sun.

And you can draw that golden sun from your crown and bring it gently down into the center of your being.

So through your central channel,

All the way through your body,

Letting it fill your body from the inside out.

So you're just imagining this golden light of energy,

Filling up your physical body with your own energy and the space around you,

The biofield around you,

Your aura,

So that you're sitting in an orb of your own life force energy.

So as you do this,

Just notice how you feel.

You can even practice this a few times,

Calling back the golden sun of your own energy and drawing it in.

And then go ahead and ground that towards the earth.

And notice how it feels.

And you might start to feel a sense of calm and clarity,

Just a nice release of energy.

And then go ahead and bring both hands to your heart.

And bring this energy to your heart center.

And affirm the wholeness of your heart.

Your heart is here.

And send this energy of loving kindness into yourself.

Into your heart center.

And we'll take three breaths together.

In and out of the heart.

So breathing in through the back of your heart and pausing the center.

And then breathing out through the front side of your heart.

Feeling it soften and relax.

Breathing in through the back of your heart.

Pausing.

Breathing out through the front of the heart.

And one more like that,

Breathing in through the back of the heart.

Finding a moment of stillness.

And breathing out through the front of your heart.

Letting your heart experience stillness.

For the next minute,

Gently focus on nourishing your heart center.

By focusing on stillness in your heart.

And sending loving kindness into your heart and throughout your whole body.

If you like,

You can practice those heart breaths.

And I will be playing some chimes as you focus now for the next minute or two on nourishing your heart center and feeling wholeness and stillness in your heart.

Allowing your core to feel this complete center of peace.

Taking a breath,

I'll ask you a question to contemplate for your intention.

And the first question is,

What is your intention of healing for this last relationship?

In other words,

What's the inner state you want to experience with this last relationship?

And we're just going to allow the intuition to come up easily and effortlessly.

There's no thinking,

Just this heart space,

The heart wisdom.

Allowing the heart wisdom to express.

So it could have been one word,

Like peace or forgiveness,

Innocence.

Gently drawing your attention back to your heart center again.

I'll ask one more question.

What is your intention for yourself?

What is the intention you want to create now for yourself?

Listening to the heart.

Letting your heart express what it really wants.

And now let yourself meditate on this intention with your whole body,

Your energy,

And your heart.

So just take this moment to focus on your intention and you can say it in a short,

Simple statement in the present tense.

So just saying it in a short,

Simple statement for yourself.

And letting yourself feel it on all levels,

All levels,

Your body,

Your emotions,

Your imagination.

And send that intention,

Some loving,

Nourishing energy,

Those golden suns,

And gently release that,

Surrendering it over to your higher power,

To your spirit.

Your healing meditation is now complete.

May we all have true healing.

May we all have peace.

And may we all be free.

Blessings and Namaste.

This was incredible and exactly what I needed at the beginning stage of a break-up of a six-year relationship that has been very nourishing in many ways and now no longer is. I resonated with every aspect of this meditation. I will also recommend it to 3 friends going through grief and loss. i can’t wait to do more of your meditations. Thank you very much!
