When we think of peace,
It conjures up images of still waters,
Quiet skies,
Periods of life without turmoil or chaos.
Meditation is a precious place to come,
To embrace and honor the choice of peace,
Even when life is chaotic and not still.
We pause for a while and allow ourselves that still water and the quiet sky.
And before we turn our meditation toward the object,
Let's continue to arrive.
Dropping anchor into mindful awareness.
Coming to the space of equanimity.
Being here and mindful of the now.
Breathing mindful of the peaceful breath.
Turning to our object of meditation.
Stillness.
Allowing ourselves to create still waters in our minds.
Peace is available.
The serenity is here.
There is abundant life inside the peace.
Dynamic energy that lives in the calm.
From head to toe,
Be still.
The only movement you notice is the chest and belly movement of breath.
Allowing the wind of breath to float over still water.
To move in and out of your quiet body.
Breathing the wind of stillness over the body.
The movement is inside,
Energetic,
Deep as the ocean.
Bring your mind back to the serenity of your body.
Peace is available and I am available for peace.
Calm is accessible.
You are filled with calm energy.
You are a light in the eye of the storm.
Be available for deep peace.
From head to toe,
Bring stillness to your body.
I can choose with intention to be available for peace.
Allow the winds of your breath to flow deeply inside the still body.
Deep breathing.
Transitioning now to breath.
Lay attention on your breath in and out.
Carry peaceful intention into your life,
Recognizing the power of choice to access it.
If your eyes are closed,
Open them and take in the space around you using all of your senses.
