A good and blessed morning to you.
Blessing as a word and concept exists widely in cultures and languages,
Spiritual and secular.
Today,
Think of blessing in the way that is most authentic to you.
Choose your most relaxing position and allow your eyes to close.
We begin by greeting breath.
Place one hand over your heart and the other hand over your abdomen.
As you inhale slowly through your nose,
Envision your breath filling your lungs and traveling into your abdomen.
Exhale slowly from your mouth,
Releasing tensions from deep within.
Repeat this slow breath,
Abdomen rising and falling.
Getting in touch with gentle airflow at the start of the day centers and calms us.
The thoughts may enter your mind,
Greet them without judgment,
Wish them well,
And then return to my voice.
As we begin affirmation,
Resume your natural breath flow.
Today I bless others.
I move from thoughts of what I'll receive and glide into a more giving frame of heart.
Reciprocity of energy is honoring the cycle of life.
In the act of giving and receiving,
We create circular flowing movement.
Today my thoughts,
Deeds,
And words will go toward community,
However that manifests in my life.
I will be intentional today when I do unto others or when I say,
Bless you.
May blessings be abundant in your life.
May peace,
Safety,
And love be blessings for you.
This day I will look for ways and opportunities to share life-giving energy.
And as I continue to practice the act of blessing others,
I will find gratitude and joy growing.
My community will reshape into one of affection and balance,
One in which the well-being of the other brings peace to my own.
