These mindful practices should always complement the skills and expertise that modern medicine, therapy and technology have to offer us.

Earth Heart Meditation Earth's grounding meditation can have a clearing and balancing effect on the heart,

Mind and emotions.

Remembering the word emotion,

E meaning energy and motion meaning movement.

Emotion is the movement of energy which is felt within the body.

The breath is the life force which brings energy and the ease of the breath,

The flow,

Brings ease into the body.

Bringing the air from outside,

Absorbing the fresh air and releasing stale air from our body rejuvenates every cell and letting go of what no longer serves us creates harmony and balance in our body.

The heart is the organ that moves the life force around the body.

Feel the breath enter the chest as it rises and become aware of the heart as it beats its life rhythm through the body.

The body is alive with the energy of the life force.

Feel the body tingle,

Feel it pulsate with energy.

There is also a great source of energy from the earth when we take it in through our feet.

When we bring awareness to them we start to feel the energy all around us.

I would like you to consider the word heart.

See the word heart in your mind's eye.

H-E-A-R-T.

Picture that word.

Now move the H from the front of the word to the end.

We now have E-A-R-T-H.

We have the word earth.

Connect the life force of the earth with the life force of the heart.

Bring your attention to your feet and feel the subtle tingling of the life force in your feet.

Feel the tingling in your heels,

In the soles of your feet,

In your toes.

Your feet are on the earth.

Connect with the energy of the earth.

The earth is alive and we know it through our senses.

We see,

Smell,

Touch,

Taste and hear the beauty of nature that is all around us.

We can access the earth's energy field and take this energy into our body.

Let the heart energize itself and flow this energy to every cell of our body.

Bring your full attention to the grounding energy in your feet.

Connect with the energy flow.

Bring this energy from your feet into your ankles,

Up into your lower legs,

To your knees.

Feel the energy moving up your upper legs.

Feel it in your sit bones.

Moving the energy into your back and slowly moving this energy up your spine into your lower belly.

Feel the tingle and the sensation.

Moving it up through your navel,

Your back,

Up into the solar plexus area in your mid spine.

Feel the tingle and the sensation of the life force as you move up your spine into your upper back and into your heart space.

Feel the sensation in your heart space.

The life force of the breath expands the chest.

The life force of the earth expands into the heart space.

Feel your shoulders move back a little as your chest expands.

Feel the energetic force of the breath and the energetic force of the earth meeting in the heart space.

Feel the flow of the energy move in and around your heart space.

Breathing it in and out.

Feeling this glow and feeling the surge of this energy within you.

Move your attention to your shoulders into your upper arms,

Down into your lower arms,

Into your palms and into your fingers.

Become consciously aware of the sensations of energy within your hands.

Feel the tingle of the fingers.

Feel the tingle of the palms.

Moving back up your arms into your shoulders.

Feel the energy within your neck,

Within your face,

All the way to the crown of your head.

Now back to the nose.

Feel the breath entering.

Feel the heart space and the lungs rise and fall.

Feel the energy coursing around your body.

We've connected heart to earth.

In this grounding meditation we take our attention back to our feet.

We feel the groundedness.

And for the next few moments just let all this go and just rest.

Feel the surge of the connection of the energy and the life force.

Now we deepen our breath a little.

And when you feel you're ready to open your eyes,

Slowly open them.

Take a few deep breaths and go about your day with a sense of lightness.

And knowing that for any time you feel you need some more energy,

Plant your feet on the earth and take your attention to the life force of the breath.

Enjoy your day.
