Intuition and mindfulness.
This meditation will help you relax and find more energy and empowerment than before.
I'm going to help you tap into your most natural energy resource,
Which is your intuition.
Your inner knowing that often gets lost in the chatter of your mind's activity and the demands on your time and energy.
Your inner wisdom holds the truth to all of your questions.
Answers arise in the quietness of your being by limiting distractions and allowing the mind to become more aware of the self and of intuitive information.
This holds for your health,
Your relationships,
Nutrition,
Your purpose.
The list is long.
So let us get into the present moment by finding a comfortable place to rest and relax into meditation for a while.
This could be sitting on a supportive chair,
Which allows you to place your feet on the ground.
Sitting on the floor so that your knees or feet are in contact with the floor.
Or lying on a mat or the bed,
Whichever is the most comfortable for you to rest and relax for a while.
Take a blanket or a light cover and wrap it around you.
During meditation,
We become still and aware of our body temperature.
It's so comforting to feel the softness of a wrap or blanket around us and helps us to keep warm.
Let's take a minute or two to get into a conscious breathing rhythm.
Simply place your attention on the breath entering and leaving your body.
Let's take a few deep breaths to begin.
Breathe in through your nostrils and exhale deeply through your mouth.
Breathe in through your nose and exhale deeply through your mouth.
Allow your day,
The thoughts,
The expectations to be released on the exhale.
Breathing in through your nose,
Exhaling deeply through your mouth.
One more time.
And we return to the natural breathing patterns in and out through your nose.
Keep your attention on the flow of the breath in and out through the nostrils.
Let's stay here for a bit breathing in and out.
If you become aware of thoughts arising,
Noise from the environment or sensations in your body,
These are quite normal distractions.
Simply move your awareness back to the breath.
When thoughts arise,
You can work with them rather than against them.
Imagine a thought as a cloud in the sky slowly passing by in the breeze.
You see it,
You acknowledge it and you let it float by out of vision.
When the clouds will follow,
Just let them float on by without attaching to them and take your attention back to the breath.
Passing into your comfortable place even more.
Keep breathing in and out and finding your rhythm,
Your natural rhythm,
Whilst your thought clouds float past in the sky.
Breathing in and out.
Relaxing.
Breathing in and out.
Relaxing even deeper.
Now place your attention on your lower body,
Your feet and your legs.
Feel your feet on the floor if you are sitting and feel them connected into the ground.
If you are lying down,
Feel the heels and legs connecting with the ground.
Envisage the lower half of your body as if it were a trunk of a tree,
Strong and sturdy into the earth.
Your feet are like roots that stretch out into the earth,
Around you and below you,
Connecting you into mother earth and all of her energies.
Move up to the base of your spine and pelvis and feel it expand and move into the earth as if it was a grounding cord around you,
Supporting and hugging you safely into the core of the earth.
This is the most stable,
Supportive and grounded feeling you have ever been connected to.
You feel so safe and loved.
Now slowly take your attention up your spine,
Your lower back,
Your mid back,
Up to between your shoulders and up to your neck and very gently tip your chin to your chest,
Feeling a little gentle stretch in the back of your neck.
Release it so you feel relaxed.
Slowly move your head from side to side.
You're feeling so light,
Comfortable and relaxed.
Very very light.
Now imagine there is a bright light,
A white light up of your head which is beaming down on the whole of your body.
You are basking in this brilliant light,
It is all around you.
Now breathe it in.
Breathe in the light and feel it in every cell of your body,
Making you feel light.
Imagine the outline of your body disappear and the light within and without merge together.
You are floating and free.
Bring your attention back to your centre of your body,
A few inches below your heart space,
The solar plexus area.
You may be able to feel a pulse within this area.
Can you feel it?
Move up to your heart space and feel the beating of your heart.
You continue to feel light and floating.
Rest in this space for a while,
Feeling the gentle rhythmic beat of your heart and the rise and fall of your chest as the air enters and leaves.
Floating,
You are free,
You are light.
Slowly and gently bring your attention to your breath.
Start to breathe a little deeper and deeper still.
Inhale and exhale and feel the sensations of your body as it touches the chair or the floor or the bed.
Start to move your legs,
Your shoulders,
Your fingers,
Your neck.
When you are ready,
Come back into the room,
Slowly and gently open your eyes.
Rest a while,
Become familiar with the space that you are in.
When you are ready,
Have a gentle stretch and move on with your day.
