Maintaining inner balance.
Throughout the day you may become aware that your energy levels are spiking or dropping.
You have the ability to regulate your energy levels once you become aware of them by simply using your breath to maintain your inner balance.
This is very effective even when thoughts and feelings threaten to throw you off kilter.
The aim is not to stop your thoughts but to work to steady your energy regardless of what thoughts arise.
Just a few minutes of slow rhythmic breathing can increase your energy levels and maintain your inner balance.
Let's settle down to find our inner balance.
Find a comfortable spot.
Ideally a comfortable chair that supports you.
Relax.
Observe any tension particularly in the jaw and the neck.
Just breath it out.
Make yourself nice and comfortable.
We'll be here for a few moments.
And now take a deep breath and hold it for a moment.
As you exhale make a very soft humming sound which is only audible to you.
Feel the vibration in your throat and chest and allow it to centre you.
Repeat this a few times creating a soft soothing vibrational hum.
As you create the hum when you exhale,
Imagine you are generating a warm golden light in the spot of the vibration you are making.
Feel the warm golden light.
With each breath out this warm calming light becomes brighter.
Your arms,
Your legs.
It infuses every bit of your body.
Every tissue and every cell with warm peaceful comfortable energy.
This golden light makes you feel completely safe and secure.
Any tension you may be feeling simply melts away under the calming influence of this gentle light.
Enjoy this feeling of total comfort and bring the light back into your chest as you again focus your attention on the soft vibration you generate with each outflow of your breath.
Continue this breath for a few minutes and see how your body and mind are responding to this breath.
On the screen of your awareness watch as each breath transforms your body with lightness.
