Day 13.
Welcome your body and your breath to your meditation practice.
Please find your most comfortable seat,
Sitting with your eyes softly closed.
Feeling the air flowing in and out of your nostrils,
A cooling air as you inhale and a warming breath as you exhale.
Expanding your awareness to the movements in your chest.
And allowing yourself to become aware of your heartbeat,
Your pulse inside of your body.
Can you sense how your body is being held by your muscles?
And can you find yourself in a most balanced way,
Sliding into a taller,
More elongated spine,
Even the head and shoulders back.
With your attention still on your breath,
Also allow yourself to settle,
Grounding more of your energy downward.
And as you let go,
Just a little bit more energetically towards the earth,
Feeling a sense of relief as the mind quiets.
Our intention for today is truth.
We sit in the space of this present moment and we witness all that there is happening inside of us and around us.
We step into that greater place of knowing.
We're going to do a little practice that awakens the body,
Starting with a little tapping.
You can rub your hands together at first to get a little energy in your hands,
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhale through your mouth.
Shake off your hands.
Begin by tapping the fingers on your cheekbones,
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhale through your mouth,
Softening any tension in the jaw,
And just stimulating,
Waking up the area that allows us to digest not only our food,
But digest what is happening in our life.
Inhaling and exhaling.
We're going to keep this tapping going down the jaw of your neck and come to your collarbones,
Right below the collarbones,
Just adding a little tapping here.
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhaling through your mouth,
Stimulating a little more blood flow to the brain.
Allowing us once again to feel that we are waking up the body's awareness.
Keep tapping now down into your very heart center.
You can use a soft fist,
You can use your fingertips.
Think of thumping this area,
The thymus,
Inhaling and exhaling as you feel that nice tapping.
It also helps to stimulate the body's immune system,
The monosystem.
Continue to draw the hands down onto the rib cage,
The sides,
Even the front of the ribs,
Just a gentle tap or maybe even a little firmer.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Just a couple more where you're just giving your body this opportunity to move energy,
To assimilate,
Tapping and supporting our organs.
Now inhale,
Shake off your hands,
Reach your arms to the sky and just hold your arms up high,
Pause.
See if you can feel a tingling in your hands from the movement,
Rubbing your hands and from tapping your body.
Like energy magnets,
Imagine your hands are pulling in a little more universal energy from above.
You might even imagine it as light.
And then begin to scoop a little bit more of that,
Bringing the palms to face down and once again just draw the hands straight down the front line of your body,
Bringing in that light as you empty out the old.
All the way down past the hips.
Let your hands go towards the earth,
You can even shake your hands off again and do that just two more times.
Inhale,
Make it feel good and exhale.
Down we go all the way through the body.
Imagine the energy is pouring into you and you're creating a little more clarity inside,
Opening up the channels one more time.
Inhale,
Beautiful gathering breath in and once again light pouring down,
Giving yourself a little shower,
Maybe it's a color,
It's gold.
Whatever color feels comforting to you,
Let it go all the way through you.
You can just let your hands rest on your legs or on a pillow.
As you sit here just notice that subtle way that your body is speaking to you through the pulse of prana,
Your life force,
Intelligence and wisdom that operates every function of your body.
This prana,
This life force is sat,
We call it,
It is real,
It is true.
As we connect to that inner compass,
That inner knowing,
We can sit within ourself in good company of the truth.
We'll know it in our bellies,
We'll know it in our hearts.
Let yourself sit in the quiet space of your meditation practice,
Giving yourself that opportunity to ground,
To surrender and to relinquish any control that we think we need in order to really trust in what is being offered to us in our meditation.
Listen for the guidance,
Let go of the chatter and really give yourself over to this time just to sit in the truest place that you can within your body and within your heart.
Let's sit in silence together.
Doctrine-culaa-vaj inflammation-mrah Loan of a you If you find that your mind is wandering,
You can use a special mantra that brings that intention of Sat into the heart,
Which is Yam,
Y-A-M.
Sat,
Yam.
You can stay with that Bija,
That repetition that keeps the mind resting on rhythm and allows you gradually to get pulled deeper into that space of the heart.
Sat,
Yam.
Sat,
Yam.
Sat,
Yam.
Sat,
Yam.
Sat,
Yam.
Sat,
Yam.
Yes,
You can meditate as long as you'd like.
If you're ready to move,
Start by moving your breath a little more deeply,
Belly to heart,
Heart to belly,
And then allowing the arms once again to stretch wide and high.
Deep breath in.
Hands come together and straight down to the center of your heart,
Always in gratitude and always remembering that this practice is not only for you,
But for the benefit of all beings.
Namaste.
