Since time immemorial, animals have served as harbingers of personality traits we, as humans, all aspire to achieve. Animals provide visions of how our lives could be if we lived more simply and lived with purity of thought and emotion. Incorporating animal totems into our lives affirms our mental , spiritual and physical goals. Bring transformation into your life by awakening the attributes of the crow. Look at your shadow side, use your powerful intellect and instinct... maybe even that part of you that can be a "trickster" to move through obstacles and embrace a new way of being!

Transcript

Let's bring in the energy of the crow.

The crow is a symbol of transformation,

Intelligence,

Strength,

Insight,

Trickery and teamwork.

We will begin by going into a very deep,

Deep state of relaxation.

Lie on your back with your arms to the side and your palms up.

Take a few deep breaths.

Become aware of your toes and feel them enter into this very deep,

Peaceful state of relaxation.

Feel this wave of relaxation traveling along the soles and the heels of the feet.

Letting go.

Letting go.

Relaxed.

This wave of relaxation is traveling up the legs,

The calves and the shins.

Drifting away deeper and deeper.

All around your knees,

Let go.

Letting your upper legs join into this very restful state.

Now bring your awareness to the fingers and feel them letting go.

The palms,

Back of the hands and wrists release.

Forearms,

Elbows and upper arms let go.

Now your arms are just like your legs in this complete state of relaxation.

Bring awareness to the pelvis and keep on letting go until there's nothing left to let go of.

Your mid-back,

Low back and abdomen drifting away deeper and deeper.

Your chest and upper back let go.

Feel your shoulders relaxing completely,

Melting away to no feeling at all.

All around your neck,

Let go.

Chin,

Lips,

Tongue,

Cheeks,

Eyes,

Forehead and scalp all go into this very deep peaceful state.

Scan your body and see if there's any area still holding on and use the power of your mind to just let it go.

Now bring awareness to your breath and just observe your breath without changing it.

Just watch it coming in and going out.

Let your mind wander and keep it on the breath.

Now observe your thoughts with no judgment.

Just watch your thoughts as if you're watching a movie.

Now focus your mind on the sound of my voice and silently repeat the affirmations,

Making them your own.

I fearlessly observe my shadow side.

I release that which is no longer serving me and I am open to new beginnings.

I remain open to total transformation in my life.

My intelligence allows me to solve life's challenges.

I have strong willpower.

I trust my powerful intuition.

I keenly observe all that is around me.

I am conscious of the mysteries of life.

I comfortably work with others.

I have the ability to be a trickster when appropriate.

Now bring your awareness to a challenging situation in your life.

Take a deep breath and activate your inner crow energy.

Use your strong will,

Your keen intuition and your ability to see the deeper truth to reveal what has been hidden.

If appropriate,

Gather your allies and evoke your trickster energy to transform this situation to everyone's satisfaction so all can have the crow-like higher perspective and fearlessly enter into a new way of being with joy.

Create an inner vision of this resolution now.

You can choose to return to your usual level of wakefulness and alertness or drift into deep restorative sleep.

If you choose to awaken,

Feel your body and mind becoming more aware of your surroundings.

If you choose to sleep,

Let the relaxation and this experience deepen.

I will count to three.

When I reach three,

You will be at your desired level of wakefulness or relaxation.

One,

Two,

Three.

A crow isn’t the character I might figure as a good subject for meditation but the narrator makes it work. A peaceful body scan practice that. Did leave me feeling more relaxed.
