Interacting with the world around you affects your energy field, mood, and sense of well-being. It's common for sensitive people to feel "off" when they've come into contact with people who aren't embodying their best selves. Ground and protect yourself with this short meditation. It can be done as often as you like! This track contains ambient sounds in the background

This meditation is to help you become more grounded.

You can do this daily,

Multiple times a day,

Whatever feels best for you.

It's best done either standing or seated with your feet flat on the floor.

Whichever of those positions feels best for you.

When you're ready,

Let's begin.

With your feet firmly on the floor,

I want you to close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in,

And then exhale.

And as you continue breathing at whatever rate feels comfortable for you,

I want you to imagine tree roots shooting out from the bottoms of your feet and going down deep,

Deep,

Deep into the earth.

And every time you breathe out,

Picture them going even deeper down.

In and out.

Each out breath,

They go deeper,

Deeper,

Deeper,

Deeper down.

More strong and more solidly connected to the center of the core of the earth.

And as you find that the tree roots have reached the core of the earth,

I want you to imagine them wrapping around that core very tightly and keeping you there very,

Very solidly.

And continue breathing in and out.

Now on your each in breath,

I want you to imagine that steady feeling going all the way up through your legs and into your torso and all the way up through your spine,

Into your neck,

And into your head.

Just like a tree trunk.

Very,

Very solid.

And continue to breathe in and out.

And on your next in breath,

I want you to imagine that your arms have become like branches of those trees,

Of that tree,

And there are more,

Your hair,

If you have it,

Is more branches,

And leaves are sprouting out of those branches.

And that is you shining your steady,

Solid,

Grounded self out into the world and sharing that joy with other people.

And continue breathing in and out at whatever pace feels best for you.

And continue to imagine yourself solid and steady,

Just like a tree.

And when you're ready,

You may open your eyes and go through the rest of your day feeling grounded and connected.
