This meditation supports the development of both concentration and insight and dispels attachment to concepts about the body. This is a more secular version of the Buddhist meditation from the Four Foundations of Mindfulness relating to the attachment to the body. There are six distinct groups of practices – the breath, the four postures of the body, mindfulness of all activities, and the parts of the body. This meditation deals with the parts of the body.
