And let your eyelids get really heavy.
And start to let your focus turn inward.
This sort of settling nervousness or concern,
Anxiety,
Anything that's like keeping you from being in the now.
Just let it settle like a snow globe after it's been shaken.
All those little pieces of snow sort of settling back to where they were.
Just feeling that sense of stillness return.
And letting your focus start to move from your mind down past your eyelids and the backs of your eyes,
Your nose,
Your mouth,
Down your throat,
Past your collarbones and your sternum,
Through your heart,
Maybe taking a second just to breathe in that space of your heart.
Noticing if there's anything present in your heart space.
And then starting to,
No rush,
Whenever you're ready,
Just starting to move a little bit further down with each exhale into the area of your solar plexus.
Maybe pausing for a couple of breaths there.
Noticing if there's any gripping or clenching or tension.
Just notice it and maybe let your exhale soften it just a little,
As much or as little as you're willing.
And when you're ready,
Letting your exhale drop you down into your belly,
Your pelvic bowl,
Where your sacral chakra,
Your root chakra are,
This cauldron of knowing and creativity,
Rooting.
Take a few deep breaths here,
Breathing in through your nose and exhaling,
Letting all of your air out.
Just take two more breaths there,
Breathing in through your nose and letting your exhale go all the way down into your belly.
One more breath,
Exhaling all of your air out.
Maybe just taking a moment to grow some roots from your pelvis beyond your couch,
Through the floor and the foundation of your house and all the way down into the earth,
Past the different layers of dirt,
Mud,
Clay,
Earthworms,
And even bones of your ancestors.
Just let your roots go really deep,
Feeling that energetic signature going down and firmly planting you into this moment and just letting your roots stay deeply embedded into the earth.
Start to travel back up past the bones of your ancestors,
Feel them or see them,
Past the earthworms and the clay,
Mud,
All the way back up the foundation of your house,
Through your pelvis,
Your belly,
Your back,
Solar plexus,
Your upper back and chest,
Your shoulders,
Your neck,
Your throat,
All the way up past your chin,
Your ears,
Your nose,
Your eyes,
Your forehead,
The cosmos.
Just take a couple of breaths here,
Feeling those deep roots,
Connection above you,
Below and above,
Recharging your energy,
Nourishing and refueling you.
Just take one more deep breath in.
Push,
There's nowhere to go.
Keep your gaze heavy and soft,
Internally focused,
Maybe just cracking your eyes open slightly and start to use your whole neck and head to just take in your surroundings,
Using your eyes,
Your whole neck and head and just look around your space,
Orienting your body,
Your nervous system to this moment and maybe finding something in your room that feels of comfort to you when you let your eyes rest on it,
Maybe it's a plant or a pillow or a painting,
Picture and just remember this object and if you start to feel a little ungrounded or like it's hard to be present,
Let your eyes come back to this space,
This object,
Let it bring you back into the present moment.
