Let's begin.
Let's begin by finding that way,
That place to be in the body.
That place where we feel our inner stability,
Our inner strength.
Whether laying down or seated upright,
See if you can find a way to align the spine so that the flow of energy travels easily up and down the body.
Let's bring the awareness to the tip of the nose,
Drawing a breath into the body and letting it go.
Feeling the air as it enters and exits the body with every breath.
Without attempting to change the breath in any way,
Just allow your body to take over the process of breathing.
Allow the expansion of your belly and chest to be what draws air into the body.
Expanding,
Drawing in,
Opening the bellows of the lungs.
Contracting,
Squeezing out,
Letting go.
Noticing each breath as it washes in and out of the body.
Let's take a moment to bring our awareness to a few places in the body.
Starting at the top of the head,
Let's feel the energy here,
See if we can intentionally soften.
See if we can create a little space.
Let's let the softness through the crown travel down through the body,
Slowly experiencing this wave of softness.
Feeling this gentle movement of energy moving downward,
Slowly melting away any stress,
Any tension.
Feeling this slow energy moving down out,
Out through the chin,
Really slowly moving through the body.
It's as though you acknowledge each body part as you pass by it,
Thanking it for its service,
Really feeling into the energy of each place in the body.
Feeling now down through the shoulders,
That softness.
This energy might come with a sensation of warmth or a yellow or orange glowing light.
Whatever the experience is for you,
Just allow it to be as it is,
Allow your body to respond to this intentional softening.
Through the softness,
We create ease,
Through the ease,
We create openness.
And in this openness,
We create space.
This is the space of our being.
This is the space that we require to be in presence in the body.
And we allow ourselves this ease,
This openness,
We give ourselves space.
For some of us,
This is our first time experiencing space in the body,
Our first time to really step into our being.
Let's just take a moment to absorb that.
Continuing down through the body if you haven't continued to do so on your own,
Bringing that warm softness,
That orange or yellow glowing light down through the chest,
Down through the belly,
Down through the hips.
Notice how your body now is more receptive to softness.
The more of your body you bring into softness,
The more your body wants to stabilize there.
Just allow yourself to fully surrender here,
Allowing legs to feel heavy on the ground.
Feeling that pull downward,
That intimate connection we have with the earth and the earth's energy.
Feeling yourself in full and total trust.
Allowing your body to let its guard down.
And having given ourselves the physical conditions to explore our inner worlds,
Let us bring our awareness to the heart space.
Focusing a breath through the heart,
Let us breathe in through the back of the heart,
That space between the shoulder blades.
Breathing out through the space in the front of the heart.
Breathing in through the back,
Maybe pausing in the heart space.
And breathing out through the front,
Feeling how wide open this area is.
And in this space we carry our most precious selves.
Our inner child,
Our little people that we protect.
Inside our heart space,
Inside our nurturing lotus blossom.
I invite you to notice this blossom in your heart space,
To notice the glow that comes from within it.
And as we focus our awareness in the heart space,
I invite you to imagine a small but subtle opening of this lotus blossom.
See the petals slowly unfold.
Inside this blossom you find your inner child.
This version of you that is most precious.
Naive and innocent and sweet and joyful.
Filled with laughter.
Completely unaware.
Let's give our inner children a chance to come out,
A chance for us to experience the world through their eyes.
Let's take our inner child out of this lotus blossom and place them on the beach.
Allowing your little person to stand in the sand.
Where the sand is wet but warm.
Facing away from the water.
Feeling a gentle breeze on the skin.
Hearing the sound of the waves rolling gently behind you.
Allow yourself to become fully immersed in this scene.
Allow the sensations of the child to be your own.
Feel the sand.
Notice the breeze.
Hear the sounds.
Realizing that pleasant feeling you have in your belly.
That knowing that in this moment all is well.
You are safe.
You are warm.
And you are well.
Feeling perhaps in this moment a glow around the body.
A feeling of light.
A brilliance that exists from within.
Noticing that glow around your own body.
That feeling of peaceful presence.
Feeling that feeling deep inside of you.
That sense of belonging.
I invite you in this moment to be immersed in this scene.
In this feeling.
From the sensations on the bottoms of the feet to the top of the head.
To the energetic feeling to being in this space,
In this innocence,
In this childlike wonder.
And to marvel in the magic of this.
The beauty of this inner child that dwells inside your heart.
This is an aspect of you.
Namaste.
Be well.
Thrown down by a thousand heads in the air,
