Welcome to the Inner Ease technique,

Allowing ourselves to be in a space where we have the ability to concentrate,

Choosing to either close our eyes or fix our gaze on a target point visually and softening our gaze,

Finding ourselves in a comfortable position,

Whether that is lying down,

Sitting down or standing,

Rolling our shoulders back and down away from our ears,

Creating space,

Elongating our neck,

Allowing a thread to extend from the crown of our head to the surface above us.

And either with our eyes closed or with a softened gaze,

Just noticing our breath,

Not trying to change it,

Just noticing it.

And as we begin to notice our breath,

Allowing that breath to become longer and deeper as we inhale and exhale with our eyes closed or with a softened gaze,

Continuing to allow our breath to flow a little longer and a little deeper,

Noticing that the everyday sounds that are around us are just reminders.

These are in fact everyday sounds,

Honing in our focus for the moment,

Returning to our breath,

Allowing our breath to continue to be longer and deeper.

And as we elongate our breath,

Shifting our attention to our heart,

And oftentimes we locate our heart to be at the left top of our chest because that's where we tend to salute.

However,

The reality is that our heart is closer to the middle of our chest at the sternum.

So as we're engaging with our longer and deeper breath,

We're attuning to our heart center.

And as we are engaging with our heart center,

We're allowing our breath to flow in through the heart and out through the heart,

Using our heart as a filter.

So as we continue to engage with our breath,

Breathing in through the heart and out through the heart,

We're noticing the rhythm of the inflow and the outflow,

Using our heart as a filter.

And as we engage with our longer and deeper breath,

Flowing in through the heart and out through the heart,

Regenerating a sense of peace,

A sense of calm,

As we inflow through the heart and outflow through the heart,

Finding our rhythm.

And as we continue to regenerate a sense of peace,

A sense of ease,

A sense of calm,

As we allow our breath to continue to flow in through the heart and out through the heart,

Regenerating a sense of ease,

A sense of peace,

A sense of calm,

As the inflow through the heart and outflow through the heart,

Engaged with a sense of appreciation,

A sense of accomplishment,

A sense of peace,

And a sense of ease.

And allowing a couple of more breath cycles.

And when we're ready,

Taking a big inhale and letting it all go with a big exhale,

Wiggling our fingers and wiggling our toes as we allow our breath to return to its normal pace.

And we re-engage with the environment around us.
