This is a meditation and a letter to ourselves in times of fear. Using visualization and breathing techniques we embrace the fear and learn how to work to dissolve it. We move into a place of acceptance and love. This practice is for anyone experiencing fear of any kind whether it's related to illness, pain, safety or any situation where fear is arising. You are love, and with love, we can move through fear.

You are listening to a meditation from Sound Science Soul.

A meditation and a letter to ourselves in times of fear.

Fear of insecurity,

Fear of change,

Or that which seems impossible to change.

Fear of illness,

And if we allow,

It's accompanying suffering.

And the resistance to anything we face.

You can do this meditation sitting or lying down,

But because you'll be doing a bit of a body scan it may help to lie down.

Dear precious soul,

There is never a need to suffer.

While pain is inevitable,

Suffering is not.

Grab hold of what you do have control of,

Releasing what you don't.

We choose resistance,

Or we choose the beauty of letting go into acceptance.

When we let go of the reins and allow,

We find purpose,

And that the answer is we're always there,

And we'll always be there.

There is no light without dark,

And that's why we experience both.

You were never destined to see the future,

But instead to focus on the here and now.

You know not what joys and sorrows come tomorrow,

And yet you worry.

You think you'll feel better if you know you'll be safe and healthy,

But there'll always be more to worry about.

Instead,

Find peace and joy in this minute.

It's that simple.

Now breathe.

Breathe deeply.

Breathing in 1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Breathe out 1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Hold the breath out and rest for 1,

2,

3.

Continue repeating to breathe in 6 times and out 6 times,

Holding the breath out for 3 counts.

Envision breathing into the places of your body that hurt,

Or anywhere you experience fear residing.

Fear can reside in a body part,

In your aura,

Or simply in your mind.

When you're breathing in,

Imagine that breath clearing the pain or fear wherever it resides.

See the breath moving through that part of your body.

The fear needs to breathe too.

We can see fear is tight and constricted.

It represents resistance.

As we breathe into the fear,

We can see it soften,

Untangle,

Release.

Imagine that fear as a tightly threaded cord of multiple strings.

Each string are the fears you hold on to,

Including all the resentment you have towards others.

Who have you not forgiven?

You can see the strings attached to those you hold resentments against.

The string is attached to you and attached to them.

Send all of that fear love.

Imagine bright white light filling your body,

Starting from the top of your head and throughout to your feet.

This light is love,

And when love is applied to fear,

Fear begins to unravel.

There is no shame here in feeling fear or feelings of resentment.

It's just time to let it go.

Imagine the love and light surrounding the cord or individual threads,

Supporting it,

Almost holding it and cradling it.

It supports and wraps itself around it,

Just as you would another human who is suffering.

The threads start to release one by one as they're softened by the loving light.

If the threads or even the cord are attached to someone else,

The cord begins to move gently away from that person in you.

It's no longer necessary.

The threads begin to gently dissolve into light particles,

Floating in the light like the sparkles you see in a sunshine ray coming through a window.

Feel the fear dissipate within your heart as you allow and accept the gentle,

Loving light to fill your body.

Embrace acceptance over resistance.

You are whole and complete and loved.

Lay or sit still as long as you need,

Keeping the image of sparkles floating through a sunshine ray and that same light filling your being,

The cord now dissolved.

Keep envisioning the light and sparkles until you feel completely calm and centered.
