All right,
Welcome to Breathing on Earth meditation.
So wherever you are,
Just go ahead and take a seat or lie down.
Make yourself comfortable.
This meditation is being recorded on some state land outside of Bozeman,
Montana.
It's a nice spring day.
Slightly windy,
Some beautiful clouds in the sky.
I'm here on this hilltop overlooking the Madison River.
I'm sitting by some beautiful trees,
Some pine and juniper,
And some beautiful hills and mountains in the distance.
So if you'd like,
You can close your eyes and imagine yourself in a place similar or of your choosing that feels safe to you.
You might imagine what it sounds like there for you and looks like,
How it feels to be in this space.
Notice where your mind wants to wander off to.
Notice the concerns,
The obsessions,
Just the thinking.
Intentionally invite your mind,
Your thoughts to pause from the cares and worries,
The challenges.
Invite your mind to come back to this space within you that is unchanging and does not need to fix anything in this moment.
Does not need to figure out anything.
So if you notice your mind wandering,
Just invite your mind to come back to the spacious awareness where there's really nothing to do but just be.
So I invite you now to take a few breaths in.
Breathe in deeply.
Hold slightly,
Whatever is comfortable,
And release the air.
Take some more deep breaths in,
Slowly,
Slowly,
Breathing in,
Holding,
Breathing out.
Slowly,
Gently,
Breathing all the way out,
Gently pushing the air out.
So go ahead and continue to breathe in a relaxed,
Natural,
A natural space,
A natural way.
You can close your eyes if you haven't done so already.
Imagine yourself in a space,
In a place that is healing for you.
Could be in nature,
Could be in a forest,
Or by some water.
Just take a moment to breathe in that space.
How does it feel to just sit in a space of loving awareness,
A space of safety?
You might find your mind wanting to wander and fixate on some challenge or some trail of thought,
Train of thought.
Just invite your mind to come back,
Come back to this space of safety.
Use the sounds in the recording today to help guide you back.
So you might just notice what you hear in your own space where you are listening to this,
And listen to the sounds of the recording,
And just do what you can to notice the sensations of the body,
And breathe in to those spaces that are a little uncomfortable or seem tight,
Tense,
Or even painful.
Just see if you can breathe into those areas,
Relax as much as you can from the inside out.
Just breathing in some love and healing into your body.
You might imagine again yourself in the place of safety,
This environment that you've imagined in your mind to offer you a sense of safety and security.
See if you can tap into the essence of that and breathe that into your physical body.
So pulling from the imagination that space of safety,
And really allowing,
I suppose,
Your higher awareness to guide you to that space where it feels safe and what are the images that come up for you that convey that sense of safety,
Security,
A real space of home,
Feeling at home that really goes beyond maybe your childhood home.
I mean,
It could be that.
But see if you can tap into something that is even beyond that from a higher state of awareness,
And see if you can breathe that in to the body,
Allowing the body to relax and feel safe.
Continue to focus on the breath as well in this process as you're breathing that in.
Allow the breath to be slow and gentle in,
Holding for a moment,
Just allowing that safety to be in your body,
And then gently letting go,
Sending that safety out into the world,
Sending that love out into the world.
And maybe it's just you sending that love to your physical space where you are right now,
Bringing the energy of safety,
Relaxation,
And peace into your body and into the space around you.
Remember that this is a practice,
And so it takes some practice,
Some doing and being,
Really.
And so don't be discouraged if you're not feeling what you think you should be feeling right now.
Just notice what you are feeling,
And become willing to just experience what's happening right now.
So if there is difficulty contacting that space of safety,
Loving awareness,
That's actually okay.
You're not doing it wrong.
But just allow it to come and go as it desires to come and go.
Just learn to train your mind to come back to being with what is.
Come back to the breath.
Come back to the sensations in the body.
Come back to the sounds.
So as we get ready to close the meditation,
See if you can imagine a warm,
Comforting light shining on you.
You can feel the warmth coming down.
And allow this ball of light to come closer to you.
Notice how you don't need to reach for it,
Grasp for it.
It's just naturally coming down to you.
The energy,
The brilliance,
And the warmth is coming to you.
And there's nothing that you have to do to earn this loving energy,
This light.
Allow it to come down through the top of your head,
And down.
Let it enter into your heart space,
Breathing in love,
Or just that light if it's hard to contact love.
Just imagine that brilliant,
Bright light throughout your chest,
Going down through the body,
All the way down.
Allow it to heal and relax and calm and bring peace to whatever the parts of the body that it wants to bring peace to,
That it wants to bring healing to.
It's not really up for us to decide or to force that light in us,
But just open up and allow the light to work within us.
This is a safe place to surrender.
Surrender to the higher consciousness of light.
And just allow it to play and dance in your body,
And to bring what it desires to bring within your body.
You might just notice the sensations again in your body.
Notice where there's openness and connection.
Notice where that light wants to go,
And just allow it to go there.
So you might ask if there's a message that that light wants to offer you,
Wants to offer your body,
Your mind.
Just take a moment to listen.
With your permission,
I'll speak a message that's coming through to me right now.
That really is a message that everything is going to be alright,
Even though it might not seem like it's going to be okay in this physical,
Mortal form.
There's a deep loving awareness that is bringing this sense of knowing,
A deeper sense of knowing,
That things will unfold and work out just fine.
To perhaps let go of our judgments about death and life.
To let go about the judgments we have about living on the earth,
And what life should look like or be like.
Letting go of the expectations of what we think should be happening or should have happened.
There is so much love available to you.
And know that you can just allow yourself to be in your own energy,
And notice what that feels like.
And notice that you can act from this place.
You can live and breathe and speak from this energy that really is just yours.
I mean,
It's really the universe,
Right?
But it's really connected to you in your unique form.
And so just know that that energy is there.
It's always with you.
You can always come back to it.
Go ahead and you can slowly open your eyes.
Just notice the sights around you,
The objects in front of you,
Below you.
You don't have to move your body very much right now,
But just look around a little bit.
And then you might want to start moving a little bit slowly and gently,
Moving the body back and forth.
Moving the arms and the legs,
Moving the neck,
Coming back to the space where you are.
So you can stay here just as long as you need to,
Until you feel ready to move forward with your day.
