Welcome to a guided meditation for connecting with your breath and letting go of patterned thinking to connect with your higher self.

To begin our meditation today,

Find a comfortable place sitting or lying down and gently close your eyes.

Begin by connecting with your breath,

Taking an inhale through your nose,

Feeling your belly rise,

Exhale through your mouth,

Letting go of any energy that needs to be released.

Again,

Inhale through your nose,

Feeling the air as it enters your lungs,

Nourishing your body,

Exhale through your mouth,

Letting go of any energy that needs to be released so you can be present in this moment.

Our meditation today,

We will be observing our breath.

As you inhale,

Draw the air into your lungs,

Allowing your belly to expand.

And as you exhale,

In your mind,

I want you to begin counting to 10,

With each exhale deeper into the counting.

And any time a thought or an image comes into your mind,

Begin your counting back at one.

Let's try it together.

Inhale in,

Exhale one.

Again,

Inhale through your nose,

Exhale two.

Continue breathing and counting in this way,

Bringing yourself back to one any time a thought or a picture comes into your mind.

Bringing yourself back to your connection with your breath.

Inhale through your nose,

Exhale through your nose.

Continue connecting with your breath.

Knowing that the purpose of this meditation is not to get to 10.

The purpose is to catch yourself every time a thought comes in,

Drawing yourself back to your breath.

Just any feelings that come up within this practice,

Feelings maybe of judgment,

Frustration,

Resistance,

Just allowing those feelings to come up and letting them flow through you,

Continuing to connect with your breath.

Inhale through your nose,

Exhale through your nose.

One more time.

Breathing back into the present moment,

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.

Connect to any energy that you've created in this meditation today.

Maybe there were thoughts that came up that showed you a pattern.

Maybe there were feelings that came up that are showing you places that you could let go or places that you could expand and go deeper.

As you take a deep breath in,

Draw in gratitude for yourself for being here,

Connecting to your breath,

Trying something new.

As you exhale,

Allow that gratitude to fill your body,

Charging your body with positive energy to go throughout your day.

And last inhale,

Acknowledging all of the thoughts and feelings that came up today.

Exhale,

Letting go of anything that doesn't serve you.

Go forward in your day with positive energy to draw in all that you desire.

Namaste.
