Hello this is Jenny and welcome to today's breathwork meditation with the intention of opening our hearts to allow more love,
More compassion,
And softness to rise up and be expressed through our thoughts,
Our words,
And our actions today.
We will start today's session with a breathwork sequence and we will close with the meditation.
How we're going to breathe is we will be taking 10 breaths breathing in through the nose,
Focusing on the heart space,
And allowing the belly to rise and fall naturally with the breath,
And exhaling through the nose or through the mouth.
We are inhaling for six seconds and exhaling for six seconds.
After our 10 breaths we will take a 15 second pause,
Body awareness,
Tuning in with the heart space,
And we will repeat that in three rounds.
What's important here is to focus on letting the breath settle into a natural pace rather than having this robotic breath.
To help us to do that I invite you now to close down your eyes and find your posture,
Whether you're seated on the floor or in a chair with your feet on the ground,
And to first of all connect with your spine.
And as you're sitting here,
Imagine stretching your spine vertebrae by vertebrae,
From the root moving all the way up to the crown of your head,
Just feeling yourself getting a little bit taller.
Beautiful.
And as you do this you may notice that the shoulders naturally want to drop down and just let go of your abdominal muscles here,
Allowing the belly to be nice and soft.
Makes such a difference when we allow our bellies to take up space.
And if you feel any tightness in the jaw,
Just start to move the jaw gently from side to side,
Just letting it be loose.
Beautiful.
Now let's take in three deep breaths together,
Through the nose,
Sending the breath deep down to the belly,
And exhaling with a big sigh,
Letting go of any heaviness that feels present right now.
Inhale and release.
Inhale and release.
Last one here,
Inhale and let it go.
Amazing.
And just keep your posture here,
Keeping the eyes closed,
And bring your awareness now to your heart space,
And visualize here in the space,
In your mind's eye,
What your heart space looks like,
What it feels like.
And just witness how your heart presents itself to you in this moment,
Your beautiful,
Loving heart.
Often we close our hearts for fear of getting hurt,
For fear of letting more fear in,
But the frequency when we open our hearts,
Even just a little bit,
It doesn't let the fear in,
But it lets more love out.
And it's through opening our hearts that we truly get to grow and evolve and shine our light even brighter.
So let's take a moment to check in if your posture feels good,
If you need to stretch the arms overhead,
Any movements that your body is inviting you into before we breathe.
And just take a little moment.
