So,
Good morning and welcome.
Let's take our time,
A few people still arriving.
So just be sure that you're comfortable,
You can be warm enough.
Good morning,
Welcome.
Finding your way to your sitting position,
Feeling your connection to ground,
Maybe through your feet or your seat.
Allowing some time for this settling,
Where the body becomes heavier.
The stillness is not something that needs to be forced upon yourself,
It's something that arrives,
Maybe,
Not always,
But usually.
The stillness just arrives if you allow the space and that might mean some fidgeting,
Some circling,
As you settle into your posture.
The stillness in the body brings a bit of room for a deepening breath.
As you receive the moment,
You can witness your breath,
You don't need it to change in any way.
Just noticing how your breath would breathe you.
And then perhaps,
Turning toward the sensation of the body,
The internal world,
Just noticing what's here for you.
You can feel your sitting bones,
Perhaps,
In your seat,
The lower back,
The sacrum,
The weight of the pelvis,
The central channel of the spine,
Perhaps moving upwards from the pelvis.
The midline moving just along the front of the spine,
Through the heart space,
The back of the throat,
To the ridge of the occiput.
It's almost as if,
Let's say,
A pulsing,
Every inhale,
Gathering in towards the midline.
A strong sense of self.
And every exhale,
A dissolving,
A surrendering,
Into more of a sense of interrelatedness,
Interconnection with all things.
Our intention is equanimity,
So this pulsing between the self,
The individual,
The primal streak on the inhale,
And dissolving into the exhale of unity,
Connection,
Oneness.
Those dualities,
Both belong,
Both are true.
I am individual,
I am self,
And I am all things.
Our mantra for today,
Vishwa Shakti Avaham.
A call for the Divine Mother,
The Feminine,
To be present.
Helping us to restore equanimity.
Enjoy your practice.
Taking a moment to deepen into your breathing and just become aware of the sounds around you.
Releasing the mantra.
Maybe a moment to reflect on your practice.
Where your mind wandered to.
How you were in meeting yourself.
The tone of your own voice toward your practice.
Perhaps coming back to the breath.
The inhale,
Calling you back to that primal streak.
That vertical midline through the body.
And the exhale,
Surrendering,
Dissolving.
With equanimity,
Being able to hold both.
We offer the fruits of our practice to ourselves,
To one another,
And to all beings.
Namaste.
