Welcome.

We're glad you found us.

For these few minutes,

Let your mind and body relax into a state of peaceful awareness.

Inhale calm,

Exhale stress.

Allow the music to move through you and let my words paint a picture so we can travel to the places you need to be.

In the relic of a crumbling fieldstone house,

Century-old walls of plaster and horsehair echo the sweat-soaked daily labor of sinewy men and women.

Swinging hammers,

Nursing babies,

Steering plows,

With a fierce intent on survival and staking acclaim on this small plot of fertile land.

Pac-marked with gaping holes,

The moss-covered warped roof yawned open to the unrelenting demands of the elements.

Wind courses through,

And a ragged screen door bangs in uneven tempo against the skeleton of a metal cabinet.

Swallows dart in and out,

Charcoal silhouettes in a staccato dance through dusty beams of sunlight.

The detritus of forgotten households makes for tricky footing.

Scattered shards of glass,

A rusted shovel,

And a child's chair,

Legs splayed and cracked,

Flaking blue paint.

In a far corner,

A chipped porcelain basin holds a tiny mouse nest of twigs,

Hair,

And noose print,

So perfect in its construction you feel your throat tighten.

Like the last archaeologist on a scoured site,

You sense a ghostly army approaching,

As if every one and every thing that has existed within these walls is making a noisy,

Last stand for your attention.

Rooted in place,

Surrounded by a fortress of stone,

The full-throated keening of those hard and beautiful lives pierces your soul.

Cries of longing,

Exhaustion,

Love,

Grief,

Lust,

Anger,

And joy.

Stand tall and firm as the force of that history blows past,

Wanting to sweep you into its nebulous wake.

Stand tall and firm as the rightful occupant of this time,

With its rust and mice and shattered glass.

Open your arms wide,

Claim your aliveness,

And cry an unabashed song of gratitude for your hard and beautiful life.

May peace and magic inspire until we're together again.

May peace and magic inspire until we're together again.

May peace and magic inspire until we're together again.

What an inspiring glimpse into our small place in the course of humanity, yet our fortunate place as one who is alive in the present moment. Very different from the others I've heard, yet just as special and peaceful! Love your work!!

This was so powerful and really resonates with me. I suffer from severe PTSD and have struggled with it for a decade give or take a year and I've been known to "have my ghosts follow me", as friends tell me. They would also so I'm extremely intuitive and almost clairvoyant at times. This journey reminded me of a real experience I once had at a place called The House in The Horseshoe. As history states - the house, also know as the Alston house for locals here in North Carolina, was built about 1770 and owned by Phillip Alston and his band of Colonists seeking independence from Britain were attacked there in 1781 during the American Revolution. Now it is of course a tourist attraction, but when I visited with my boyfriend at the time - the place was closed. It was a nice fall evening, over cast skies and not another car or person for as far as we could see. So we decided to walk around the grounds and the place gave me chills. You could see the huge hill where they knew they were coming to ambush them. The original "bullet" (of course back then I believe they used pellets of some kind) where still in parts of the walls. It was such an amazing story that you could literally feel what went on there. The House in The Horseshoe still stands and is in Sanford,NC. For anyone who loves history or wants to experience a journey similar to this, I highly suggest looking it up. Thank you so much for your wonderful meditational tales and journeys! I love the guided imagery so much! This one in particular certainly hits home for me as someone who has been through so much in my 28 years of living that most people can't believe it or they're at such a loss for words that they just tell me to write a book! I apologize for such a long review - its the Irish in me that just loves sharing and swapping tales! I can't wait to finish the rest of your meditations!🙏🏻💕

Amazingly beautiful visuals and language. I spent many childhood summers on my grandparents' farm. While it is still in use and occupied by a distant relative, my global travels which have included sites of ancient ruins really helped me capture this image in my mind, and reminds me of a similarly-styled poem I wrote in high school about a visitor to an abandoned library nearly lost to the forest and the memory of Time. Thank you so much for sharing this with me and the world. Bookmarked and downloaded. I see the light in you. 🤲❤️🤲

That was very moving. I found myself in a crofters cottage in southern Ireland and visualized my great grandfather. Made me proud of my genetic history. Thank you
