Hey friends and welcome to this meditation using the Silva method by Jose Silva.
In this meditation we'll be setting an intention for our practice and then moving into the method itself.
If you're practicing this perhaps to start your day you might be sitting up or in the afternoon and if you're preparing for bed you're welcome to also lie down for this meditation as well.
And before we begin just taking a moment to relax yourself,
Softening your face and your shoulders,
Relax your jaw,
Let your teeth separate,
Relax your tongue and then begin to formulate a simple mantra for yourself.
What is your intention for this meditation practice?
It's to invite in the things that you're trying to solve in your life.
This could be something that you're inviting into your life,
Love,
Abundance,
Whatever you like to invite in.
Perhaps it's something that you're letting go of,
Judgment,
Shame,
Guilt.
Perhaps you're trying to solve a problem if you have a challenge in your life,
You're seeking an answer.
Meditation is such a great way to tap into our intuition.
If you're a little unclear about your intention perhaps your intention is just to be present throughout the course of these next few minutes,
Just being attentive to what you're doing.
So with the eyes closed beginning just to take some longer draws of breath in and find that gentle pause at the top of your breath right before the exhale begins and then exhale a little bit longer than the inhale.
Nice deep breath in,
Pause,
Long exhale.
Now a nice deep long breath in,
A little longer than the first two.
Hold that breath when you get to all the way to the top for just another moment and this time sigh the breath out,
Big sigh,
Exhale.
Notice just a little shift here from a few conscious breaths,
Letting the breath now move on its own in and out of the body.
Begin to slightly imagine gazing upwards about 45 degrees.
Notice if you can keep your eyes slightly trained upward towards the third eye space.
On your next breath in visualize the number three,
Three times,
Three and again on the exhale three,
Three,
Three.
Inhale visualizing two,
Two,
Two and exhale two,
Two,
Two.
Inhale one,
One,
One and exhale one.
Now entering a deeper state of mind,
Beginning to start to scan the body to relax even more.
Starting at the top of your head,
Relaxing your scalp,
Forehead,
Your eyebrows,
Relaxing your cheeks,
Your ears,
Your jaw,
Relaxing even your teeth and your tongue.
Relax the throat,
The shoulders,
Relax the upper arms,
Relax the lower arms,
Relax the palm of the hand,
Relax the back of the hand,
Relax your thumb,
Your first finger,
Your second finger,
Your third finger and your fourth finger.
Good,
Relax your chest,
Relax your belly,
Your back,
Relax your pelvis,
Your hips,
Relax the front of the thigh,
Back of the thigh,
Front of the knee,
Back of the knee,
Relax the front of the shin and the back of the shin,
Relax the ankles,
Relax your heels,
Relax the top of your foot,
Relax the bottom of your foot,
Relax your big toe,
First toe,
Second toe,
Third toe and fourth toe.
Entering now deeper state of mind,
Beginning at the number 20.
We slowly will begin our countdown to an even deeper state of mind.
So as you inhale,
Thinking the number 20 and as you exhale,
19,
Inhale,
18,
Exhale,
17,
Inhale,
16,
Exhale,
15,
Inhale,
14,
Exhale,
13,
Inhale,
12,
Exhale,
11,
Inhale,
10,
Exhale,
9,
Inhale,
8,
Exhale,
7,
Inhale,
6,
Exhale,
5,
Inhale,
4,
Exhale,
3,
Inhale,
2,
Exhale,
1.
Now from this greater level of mind,
It's time to begin to program the mind.
Imagining in front of your face,
A screen about six inches in front of your face.
Use this screen to visualize anything you like.
Perhaps it's that thing that you're inviting in.
Perhaps it's that thing that you're letting go of.
Perhaps you're just seeking an answer to come to you,
A challenge or a problem.
From this greater level of mind,
We can now begin to open up to any possibility.
Do a second round of counting to drop in a bit deeper.
That's totally fine.
Take the next few minutes to give yourself whatever it is that you need.
Now before closing our meditation,
A simple mantra that you can come back to at any point during your day,
Any time you're outside of your meditation.
Simply to yourself saying,
Every day,
In every way,
Things keep getting better and better.
Every day,
In every way,
Things keep getting better and better.
Every day,
In every way,
Things keep getting better and better.
You might linger here for a little bit longer.
Just enjoy this feeling that you've created.
