Beginning by finding a comfortable position,
Lying down on your back over a few pillows keeping your head and heart elevated,
Arms on either side of the body,
Allowing the legs to relax and the feet to turn outwards.
You can also practice this meditation in a sitting position,
Using a wall to support your back if needed,
Lengthening your spine and resting your hands on your lap.
Feeling your whole body anchoring into the earth,
The back of the legs,
The hips,
The shoulders and the back of the head.
Feeling the whole body heavy,
Sinking into the ground beneath you,
Feeling supported.
And while you are supported,
Feeling the release of tension,
Tightness or discomfort in the body.
Letting go of thoughts,
Worries or expectations.
Feeling the front of the body light and open,
Ready to receive.
Feeling the innate wisdom of the breath,
Carrying not only oxygen but also nourishment,
Love and healing to every cell in the body.
