Hello and welcome to today's practice of Yoga Nidra for cellular heart healing.
I am your guide Jen Edwards and I am honored to guide you through your practice of deep rest and inner healing as we journey through this practice.
We will begin our practice by making your way to a laying position.
If you have any injuries that will not allow you to lay on your back comfortably,
Please allow yourself to rest on whichever side feels safe and comfortable,
Propping yourself up as needed.
If you are expecting,
Please allow your body to rest on your left side,
Finding comfort and support here.
As you settle your body in this safe place,
You may bring agency into your rest by adding support and extra comfort.
Perhaps this can be bringing in extras such as eye masks,
Blankets,
Bolsters,
Pillows,
Socks,
Anything that feels or brings an extra comfort for your practice.
Anything that may benefit you during this practice in allowing your body to rest in a fully supportive state.
To settle.
As your body feels the support,
Feels the comfort you've created,
Let your nervous system have a moment to catch up.
Living in this moment,
In this space of settling,
Of physical support,
Of surrendering to inner support,
Allow your mind,
Body,
And spirit a moment of transition.
Often times our minds cause the chemistry within our nervous systems to be active,
To be reactive.
Each cell within our bodies vibrating with overactivity and high stimulation.
On occasion,
When our bodies are fully supported and in comfort,
Our nervous systems have not yet caught up to the settling,
To the safety.
Perhaps if you feel drawn to,
Take a moment and allow your body to shift,
To move,
Allowing the last movements to be released,
To discharge from your body.
Maybe that means moving your feet,
Wiggling your legs,
Your hips,
Adjusting your back,
Your hands or arms,
Rolling your shoulders,
Or perhaps rocking your head back and forth,
Bringing ease into the muscles between your eyebrows,
Releasing your jaw.
Any last movements,
Your body,
Your system is asking of you as you allow your body to settle.
Where absolutely nothing is being asked of you.
Where you can rest here,
Now,
With an unhurried,
Unmotivated nature.
Can you allow yourself to become 5% more relaxed?
Perhaps even 10% more.
If you feel comfortable or you are drawn to the practice of breath,
I will guide you in a moment.
However,
If you'd prefer to allow your breath to be natural,
Please do so.
Before we begin,
I will explain how I will guide this breath.
You may inhale fully into the depth of your belly,
Filling your chest all the way up to your shoulders.
Expanding every pocket of your lungs fully.
Expansion in every cell of your body.
As you exhale,
Gently allow breath to leave your body as it contracts.
Notice the soft place catching you,
As if your body was landing gracefully on a fluffy cloud or like a warm loving embrace from someone you love coming from behind,
Full of love and support.
Every cell supported and settled.
Inhaling fully now into your belly,
Your chest,
Your shoulders,
Fully expanding and gently contracting,
Releasing,
Exhaling.
Again inhaling your belly,
Your chest,
Your shoulders.
Exhale gently contract,
Feeling the support beneath you.
Inhale your belly,
Your chest,
Your shoulders,
Fully expanded.
And exhale,
Your body held.
Bringing yourself back home within your heart.
Allowing you to listen and to feel the space of settling,
Of holding.
Welcoming you in this moment of respite,
In this full embodied surrendering.
Bringing the fragmented pieces of you back together,
Leading you back into your heart.
Back to yourself.
Bathed in the comforting awareness of its warm embrace.
Back into oneness within yourself,
Gently,
Safe,
Whole.
This is where the practice of yoga nidra begins.
As you lay in this presence of your full heart's awareness,
Allow the comfort to soften you as you lay safely in your heart,
Like a guardian of protection.
An opportunity for the medicine of your heart to heal parts of yourself you've perhaps hidden or set aside.
If you feel drawn to the practice of creating an intention,
A sankalpa,
A vow to yourself,
Your truth,
A resolve to allow an impactful difference in your lived experience through this practice.
Allow your heart to guide you as you bring one to the surface.
The intention,
Your sankalpa,
Already exists within you.
You now have the opportunity to allow your heart to bring it forward.
When and if one has been brought forward,
Repeat it three times.
Feeling the power of its presence within every cell of your body,
The expansiveness of its becoming limitless.
In the comfort of your whole heart,
Begin bringing awareness into your body.
The center of your heart.
A bright white light safely carrying healing and hope as it begins its journey through the body scan.
Awareness in your heart center.
Awareness in your heart center.
Feeling your heart center.
Making its way to awareness of the brow center.
The right temple.
Right cheek.
Right ear.
Right shoulder.
Right side of the ribs.
Right upper thigh.
Right ankle.
Feeling the whole right side of your body filled with bright white light.
Safely filled with healing and hope.
Your whole right side body.
Making its way now to your left ankle.
Left upper thigh.
Left side of your ribs.
Left shoulder.
Left cheek.
Left temple.
The midbrain.
The space between your ears.
The whole left side of your body filled with bright white light.
Safely filled with healing and hope.
The whole left side body.
Your whole body filled with bright white light.
Safely filled with healing and hope.
Your whole body brought into awareness.
Bathed in safety of your whole heart support.
Settled now.
Still.
Where this space,
This moment,
Asks nothing of you.
Unhurried.
Unmotivated.
Where you have safely drifted back home to yourself.
To your heart.
Observing now as breath naturally flows through your entire being.
With ease.
Effortless.
The sensation of your inhales gently expanding with expansive healing.
Your exhales contracting with supportive grounding.
Noticing.
Feeling.
Breath flowing in.
Breath flowing out.
Awareness without judgment as your breath travels throughout your body.
Creating a sensation of protection.
Perhaps the white light creating a fortress around you.
The guardian of your heart.
Bathed in the safe space of your heart.
Protecting and healing.
The heart keeps you safe.
Guarding you with its power so you may set aside the boundaries you've created.
Invite yourself in this moment to feel in your body.
In every cell of your being.
The emptiness that comes alongside the dark.
Allow yourself to feel fully in the darkness.
Now let that experience dissolve.
Gently move now into full awareness in your body.
In every cell of your being.
The companionship that comes alongside the light.
Allow yourself to feel the light.
Allow yourself to feel fully in the light.
Now let that experience dissolve.
What does it feel like in your body to experience darkness alongside the light?
Simultaneously together.
Now let that sensation dissolve.
Bringing your awareness back now into the presence of your heart.
Protecting and healing.
Settling of each and every cell.
Comforted by its presence.
Its ability to carry you.
To hold you.
To keep you safe.
To remind you of your true essence.
The strength within your heart.
Its ability to hold you with healing and hope.
Come back now to the safe space of your heart.
Feel its protection.
Its healing.
The sensation of your heart full as you feel your entire body filled with bright light.
Envision each and every cell of your being.
Individually settled in stillness.
Carrying healing and hope.
As if you were gazing under a microscope watching them separate from one another.
Trillions of individual shining lights spreading outward.
Yet as the light shines out from each individual cell.
They illuminate as one.
Unified.
Coming together in solidarity.
Shining from within throughout each individual cell.
Carrying with them energetic protection.
Allowing you to be bathed in a sheath of armor that is created from your center.
Outward from your heart.
Your entire being brought home now.
In the fullest capacity of wholeness within your heart.
Feeling yourself in this safety.
Settled in support of healing and hope.
Every cell in your body held in the protection created within the center of your home.
Your heart.
The pure love of your whole being.
Your whole heart.
From this seat of protection from your heart.
Where each cell in your body has full support and overflows now with love.
Allow your sankalpa,
Your intention to rise once again.
The seed planted has now been fertilized.
Its roots spread throughout your body.
The sprouts rising outward with the light of your heart.
Your sankalpa called into action with its presence.
Its possibility.
Radiating through every cell of your being.
Growing from the pure essence of your heart.
Repeat this three times.
Feeling the purest essence of its becoming.
Sensing its possibility.
Begin to bring awareness back into your body.
With your breath.
Feeling movement flowing.
With a renewed sense of safety.
Of healing.
And of hope.
The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.
Gently bring yourself back into your physical body.
With ease filled movements.
Noticing the physical ground beneath you.
Holding you.
Breath moving in your body.
The sensation of expansion and contraction.
When you are ready.
Gently rolling to one side.
Doing the best you can to keep your eyes closed.
If that feels safe for you.
Taking in these last few moments of this practice.
Noticing the sensation within your body.
Pure light radiating throughout your whole self.
If you feel ready.
Bringing yourself to a seated position.
However you feel comfortable.
Or if you are carrying yourself into sleep.
Sleep well.
If you have risen to a seated position.
With your eyes gently closed.
Place one hand at the heart center.
The other gently placed on top.
Allow your chin down.
Allow your chin to fall down towards your chest.
Allowing your heart and your head a moment of togetherness.
Of oneness.
Allow yourself as many moments as you need.
Held in this oneness.
The wholeness within yourself.
May you carry with you light and love.
Throughout your day.

Very lovely Nidra that spoke to my need to heal a persistent darkness. I enjoyed your words delivered slowly deliberately to centre in the heart and whole of me. Thank you.
