Yeah welcome to this self-compassion mindfulness practice so we are taking time to be with ourselves in a nourishing way and as Jean Gendlin from the Focusing World which is an exquisite form of mindfulness said every part within us has its own healing ability and mechanism so that might be an emotional pattern an old trauma or just a feeling out of sorts all these elements that run through us have within them their own resource their own healing edge and I know it may not feel like that and sometimes it's like we can be quite hostage to these overwhelming situations and in a way it can,

As it were,

Perpetuate the pattern being overwhelmed and seemingly not having anywhere to go trapped paradoxically learning to be with whatever is here brings the healing,

Brings the wholeness that also may need to be accompanied with community connection connecting with one or two others to support us so from the very get-go we're inviting space a curiosity a sense of self-care a warm awareness a softening a gentleness a sense of self-forgiving perhaps other forgiving a kind of amnesty as we just very gently drop down sensing the feet on the ground just really reveling and luxuriating in contact with the earth through the shoes or more directly perhaps inviting the feet to rest in themselves to soften and soothe in their wholeness this is our anchor point like the trunk of a tree meeting the earth and the roots burrowing down into that rich soil earthing sustaining nourishing I'm just pausing for a moment and just noticing the thoughts and maybe emotions and patternings that are somewhere there and they're longing for their own release and freedom perhaps they're longing for connection and love for tenderness for healing so we just say yes to those thoughts to those feelings for now and maybe parts of us say no and we honor them too and we say yes to the no all is welcome here and we say yes to the no with kindness and care and gentleness it's as if a deer or an animal has come out of the forest is a bit shaky or wobbly is looking for some kind of safety and refuge some kind of home so we don't rush at it we go down onto the earth we give it space a welcoming kindly space and it might look at us for a while not quite sure it's a compassionate space of letting it be as we begin to acknowledge and notice how it is we remain connected to the earth underneath us perhaps sensing our whole body,

Sensing the shape of our body very aware sensing the space around us and that animal is still there perhaps now more curious,

Feeling safer that it can be met we might just say quietly to that animal oh it's like that for you there's some fear there for you or there's some anxiety or there's some aloneness or woleness or tenderness or sadness it's OK,

You've been there before I'm available for you so as it comes closer it might eventually roll down on its side or onto its knees we can just very gently place our hand on it and say I'm here for you I'm offering you care compassionate kindness tenderness and your hand can really sense the body of the animal as it begins to soften and trust as we offer it space and we can offer it soothing soothing comforting comforting with each in and out breath we continue to sense the ground beneath us as we keep this creature this something,

Company with care,

With compassion taking time to rest in our breathing very gently from this grounded whole sense of ourselves keeping this creature,

This something here,

Company just allowing it to be the way it wants to be soothing,

Healing very gently offering this intention space inviting peace and wholeness keeping our hand on this lovely creature sensing perhaps,

Yet trusting us more and more to be with it in this way as we keep this connection we're also aware of the body sensing the space around us it extends out,

Up into the blue sky perhaps beyond the clouds perhaps into that night sky a sea of diamonds suspended there shining the healing light down to assist us in wellbeing in safety in healing and in this space too,

The rivers and mountains the great sapphire blue emerald green lakes cool clear waters the great open plains,

The savannah lands the rocks and marshes,

The deserts,

The tundras the mountain ranges with their snow caps the jungles and forests and all the wild creatures,

Domestic creatures and humans all directing their kindness and love towards us especially towards this something we're with also supporting us feet on the ground just gently resting with the flow of breathing as we keep company with whatever's here with a compassionate awareness,

A softness a gentleness resting in the breathing letting the body rest in the breathing as it flows naturally inviting a soothing and a calming a healing love warmth care respect and patience and space as these healing energies drop down into your deep beingness offering their balm through time perhaps manifesting in the day in surprising ways more ease and more space perhaps a sense of playfulness and fun inspiring creativity responding in slightly different ways that makes the big difference to a quality of life and a sense of meaning being available to possibility and newness,

The fresh edge of being as perhaps this creature that came out of the forest starts to stand with a different energy begins to move around more confident,

More open more relieved more reassured that it can get the connection to sustain itself to come into its own fullness and fresh edge so we continue being sensitive with this relationship being available as and when from this grounded whole sense of ourselves always available at all times grounded,

Aware,

Compassionate presence
