When emotions are held back—especially anger, truth, or strong personal needs—the tension often shows in the jaw, face, and temples. Facial nerve pain often symbolises unspoken truth, emotional pressure, or boundaries that are being held in the body instead of through expression. Listening to this healing visualisation can release the tightness of holding on, any fear of speaking truth in social situations and soften your face into it's natural state of being. Simonette will guide you to relaxing imagery of a camp fire, and wise being where you both bring compassionate attention to release and soothe the face again.

Hello there and welcome.

When emotions are held back,

Especially anger,

Truth,

The tension often shows in the jaw,

In the face and the forehead.

So you've come to listen to this healing narrative.

The healing begins with gentleness.

Imagine the lightest of touch,

A love-filled touch that we call a caress,

A loving touch.

You can bring your awareness to the part of your face where you feel the most intensity and your attention has that loving caress quality to it.

So let's begin.

Find a comfortable position,

Loosen your jaw,

Release the tongue,

Let your face soften with a gentle caress of your compassionate attention.

Using my voice as a guide,

This is your healing experience arising from your own compassionate attention.

Take a slow inhale through the nose,

Exhale with a soft sigh.

Let your breath meet your face with kindness,

Allowing for the life force of Mother Nature,

Always growing,

Naturally healing,

Restoring,

A beautiful healing balm.

Closing your eyes,

Bringing your attention to your face.

Your face remembers softness,

It remembers authenticity,

It remembers the ease of being fully yourself,

Without bracing,

Without apology.

I'd like you to imagine you're sitting near a small fire.

This fire knows your face,

It knows the expressions you've hidden,

The truths you've swallowed,

The boundaries you've clenched into your jaw to keep the peace.

Let the firelight flicker across your cheeks and temples,

Let it illuminate the places where the nerves have been called for attention.

Let it show you gently what you have been carrying there.

Now I'd like you to imagine your wise being approaching,

A wise one who knows you well,

Sovereign of your soul,

And they sit now beside you,

Silently,

With kindness and knowing in their presence.

You both place your palms over the fire,

Feeling the warmth of the fire,

And you can bring the palm of your hand to your heart.

And your wise being places their palms on both sides of your face,

And you feel the loving energy,

A warm soothing caress that is so deeply accepting.

Feel that warmth enter the tight places,

The clenched places.

And your wise being whispers to you,

This is a social mask you learn to wear.

It protected you once,

But you no longer need to hold it so tightly.

Breathe deeply,

And imagine your jaws softening,

Opening,

Your cheeks relaxing,

The warmth penetrating deeply,

Soothing the nerves,

Soothing and comforting,

And allowing for those words to be spoken.

Let the fire gently burn those stories.

Let the fire free you from the weight of those painful histories.

Feel the warmth of the fire,

And your wise being melting through the nerve pathways,

Unwinding the tension,

And unwrapping the armour from your face.

And you can hear the whisper of your own voice,

I'm safe,

My voice is welcome.

I can live my boundaries with courage,

Not in my pain.

And allow the firelight to reshape your face into its natural expression,

Open,

Soft,

Honest,

Unguarded,

And feel the relief that comes from not bracing,

Feel the ease that comes from being seen,

Allow that social mask to fall away,

Allow for the full expression on your face to emerge,

The face of your authentic being.

So rest here and the warmth of the fire's glow held by your wise being,

Bringing the attention of a loving caress,

And allowing for softness and the opening,

Expansion of feeling,

Your face open,

Authentic,

And relaxed,

Stay until the warmth reaches the deepest parts of you,

And the nerves settle into a quiet,

Peaceful hum,

May you have continued ease with all you are doing and being,

You are the wise being,

Courageous and true.

And now it's time to wriggle your toes and your fingers,

To begin to reorientate yourself back into the here and now,

Taking in a nice deep breath,

And as you exhale opening our eyes and being fully present back into your everyday activities.

And you can come back to this practice whenever you feel the need to connect in and to allow for the truth and the softness of your loving caress.

Bye for now.
