Hello and welcome to today's reflective prayer and meditation.

In our busy and ever-changing world,

It is easy to run from one thing to the next without much thought of God's presence and purpose in our daily life.

This reflective prayer and meditation is designed to help believers recognize instances of God's grace throughout the course of the day.

When we do this,

We come to know and love God more and more.

So when you're ready,

Find a comfortable seated position and with your eyes open or closed,

Take a deep breath in and out as we take the journey in,

Meeting God heart to heart,

Spirit to spirit,

Breath to breath.

Begin to draw your attention inward as you bring attention to your breath,

Placing your hands on your belly.

Breathe in and out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

As you breathe,

Feel yourself becoming more relaxed,

More grounded,

And more aware as you begin to relax in the presence of God.

From this place of centeredness,

Begin to listen with your spiritual ears and tune into this reflective prayer and meditation at the end of your day so you may examine your day with special attention and focus on these areas.

We start by reviewing the day with a sense of gratitude,

Noting how God showed up today,

Acknowledging the beautiful gifts that God has given you today,

And giving thanks for those gifts.

As you continue to reflect on your day,

Notice any specific events,

Paying careful attention to the emotions that you experienced today.

Did you experience anger,

Sadness,

Joy,

Or maybe even excitement?

Take a moment to simply review it all,

Seeing God in the midst of it all.

Was there anything that pulled you closer to God today,

Or did something draw you away from God?

As you review,

Request Holy Spirit to illuminate those parts of your day that you may have forgotten.

Allow Holy Spirit to illuminate the dark corners of our heart,

Our blind spots.

Did you cause hurt or harm to yourself or someone else?

Let Holy Spirit bring it back to your remembrance.

Where did you fall short today?

Remember,

There is no shame in confessing your sins,

Those things that have displeased God and quenched the Spirit's presence and power.

But as you rest in the presence of God,

Give Him access to your heart,

And as you breathe,

Confess,

And as you continue to breathe,

Repent,

Repent,

And turn away.

For when you repent,

You agree with God's evaluation of the sin,

Agree with God,

And be at peace,

Now as Heavenly Father for forgiveness.

As you breathe in and out,

Trust God and receive His forgiveness.

With the gift of forgiveness,

Now,

Willingly follow God's leading in a new direction.

Resolve to do better with the power of the Holy Spirit transforming your heart and your mind.

Breathe and believe.

Shalom.
