Hello,
My friends.
As we approach the end of one year,
We are preparing ourselves for the energy of a new year,
Potentially a new chapter,
With some positive new energy flow.
But in order to get there,
Sometimes it's important that we reflect back on where we come from.
What has this year been like for you?
Has it been a good year?
Has it been a tough year?
Has it been a downright awful year?
Do you have any regrets about this year?
Today we're going to focus our meditation on living without regret.
And in order to do that,
Sometimes we have to take a look at the issues and the things that we feel regret about.
I want to invite you to close your eyes and join me in a simple breathing exercise.
We're going to take several rounds of breath in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Where our exhales are double the length of our inhales.
And this is all about letting go.
Your eyes closed.
Let's inhale for a count of three.
One,
Two,
Three.
Sigh out through the mouth for six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And six.
Inhale through the nose three.
One,
Two,
Three.
Sigh out through the mouth for six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And six.
Inhale through the mouth for three.
One,
Two,
Three.
Exhale through the mouth for six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And six.
Your eyes closed still.
I want you to think about this year,
2022.
What has been your biggest source of regret this year?
When you become aware of that regret and you think about it,
I want you to notice where you feel that energy in your body.
Let's return to our breathing exercise.
This time bringing the inhale right into that part of the body where we feel the emotional baggage surrounding regret.
Deep inhale through the nose for three.
One,
Two,
Three.
Sigh out the mouth for six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And six.
Inhale through your nose for three.
One,
Two,
Three.
Sigh out the mouth for six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And six.
On this last breath,
Inhale nose for three.
One,
Two,
Three.
Exhale nose this time for six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And six.
With your eyes still closed,
I invite you to have an internal conversation with your own personal biggest source of regret for 2022.
What has this source of regret been here to teach you or show you?
What does it want you to understand so that you can move forward more powerfully?
Take a moment to breathe into the lessons,
The messages,
The understanding and wisdom.
Beautiful.
Now,
When we look at your personal regret,
What could possibly be the other side of that or the antidote to that?
For example,
If you feel like you were really lonely in 2022,
You could think about the other side of that would feel you feeling a really strong sense of community,
Connection,
Love and support.
If you feel like you were a really bad parent this year or a really impatient parent,
The other side of that would be feeling like you were a very present parent.
Not perfect,
But present,
Attentive,
Approachable.
I want you to think about the other side of your regret.
We're going to take a moment to breathe into what that other side feels like.
We're going to become the frequency of that which has felt lacking this year,
But that which we desire just with our intention,
Our thought and our breath.
I want you to cultivate a sense of that other side of your regret to that positive thing you desire and feel what that feels like in your body.
Breathe into that space in the body where you feel the other side,
The positive antidote to your regret.
Amplify that feeling.
If your breath spread that positive feeling throughout your entire body.
On your next breath,
Spread that positive feeling throughout your mind,
Beliefs and emotions.
This next breath,
Be the frequency,
The energy of that which you desire.
Mind,
Body,
Spirit,
Every part of you is that frequency that you desire.
Just take two more breaths into being mind,
Body,
Spirit,
The frequency of what you desire,
The antidote to your regret.
When you're ready,
I invite you to open your eyes,
Observe how you feel now.
And I also invite you to open up your journal and do a little follow up exercise.
I took a moment in my own journal and I'll give you one example.
I chose some of my biggest regrets and one of them was fear.
And I just wrote a little bit about what fear was here to teach me.
Fear I thank you because you have taught me that you are the little old cowardly man behind the curtain pretending to be the big bad wizard.
I want to encourage you to write a few sentences.
Four paragraphs about what your greatest regret has been here to teach you and show you.
Because when we can acknowledge that and apply the wisdom from it,
There really is no need for regret because it led to our growth and our expansion.
I invite you to do that and then I invite you after that to go back and reread it.
And then finally,
Close your eyes again and breathe into the other side of your regret,
The antidote to your regret.
Be that frequency mind,
Body,
Spirit with all of your being.
Be that and so it shall be.
So much abundant and empowered blessing to you.
You are a magnificent co-creator of your reality with this amazing magical universe.
I look forward to speaking with you next time.
