Hello,
My name is Shauna Marie.
This meditation is on trying something new.
Trying something new can just be scary and make us uncomfortable.
I know for me,
I often worry about whether or not I'm good enough or I can do something effectively.
And I sometimes talk myself out of the experience of trying something new.
I wrote this meditation to help you whenever you have something new to try and just need a little extra boost or to bring in some extra confidence or whatever you need to help yourself get through the situation and to maybe give yourself a little push to have the experience of trying something new.
I thought this would be an appropriate first Insight Timer meditation for me to share with you.
So I invite you to just really get comfortable in your chair.
Go ahead and close your eyes.
And just really start to relax in the space.
You may notice your breathing.
And just deepen it.
Start to relax your face.
Your forehead.
Your cheeks.
Your jaw.
Relax the back of your neck.
And just drop your shoulders.
And settle.
And soften your stomach.
Notice your sit bone in your chair.
Notice your feet on the ground.
Or if they're not on the ground,
Just a connection to the ground.
Really kind of settle into that connection to the earth.
From here,
I invite you to take a place in the center of your head.
You can just put your energy there.
It's right behind your third eye.
This is your sacred intuition space.
So we're just going to kind of take a seat there energetically.
And just notice it.
And from this space,
We're going to kind of look out from the center of our head in front of us.
And just kind of notice what comes up around the energy of trying something new.
And is there a specific thing that you want to try new that's in your future?
And just notice what comes up.
You might see an image out in front of you of it.
Or you might just know.
You don't have to work really hard at it.
Just the first thing that comes to your mind.
And we'll just use that for this meditation.
So when you know what new thing you want to try,
I want you to put up a bubble in front of you.
And we're going to use this bubble to kind of see any energies that we need to release from our body or space that's stopping us from trying this new thing that we really want to do.
So let's just set the intention that this bubble can just fill.
This can just withdraw out of our body or our space anything that isn't serving us with trying this new thing that we've always wanted to try or attempting to try.
Just look at the energy that's coming out.
You may notice a color.
You may just notice an energetic pattern.
You may notice if this energy is yours or somebody else's.
Or maybe it's societal energy.
And if you don't see it,
You might just feel it move out of your body or just know that it's leaving your body and the space around you.
Just notice that happen.
When your bubble's all filled with whatever you need to release,
Then just send it away.
Just watch your bubble float.
It can float over mountains or oceans,
Wherever you want,
Just far away from your space.
And then just see that bubble pop.
And we're going to create a big,
Giant sun above your head,
Like a bubble sun.
Now we're going to set the intention that we call in whatever energy we need to help us to try something new.
So just call your energy in.
Call whatever you need in.
Maybe you need to bring in confidence or ease,
Self-acceptance,
Self-acknowledgement,
Self-validation.
Whatever it is that you need to bring in to help you have the confidence to try this new thing that you want to try.
Just notice.
Again,
You can just see this big sun being filled with a color.
A sun with a lot of gold.
You might see it as an image.
Or you might just know it's there.
When your sun is filled up with whatever you want to bring in to help you to have this new experience,
Just kind of pop that sun and just feel it just kind of melt down into your body.
Watch it or feel it move through your head,
Down your face,
Back of your neck,
Through your chest.
All the way down your body.
Down each of your legs and into your feet.
Down your arms and into your hands.
Then see it move around the space outside of your body.
All the way around the space behind you,
In front of you,
Above you,
Below you.
Just kind of bask in the sun,
This new energy that you're giving to yourself.
You can just bring in what you need to have this new experience.
Start to really notice your feet and your body.
Notice your breath.
Start to move slowly,
Maybe swaying back and forth a little bit.
A little shoulder roll.
When you're ready,
You can slowly start to come out of meditation.
I invite you to just use this meditation over and over again whenever there's something new and you just need to release a little energy that's not serving you and bring in some extra energy that will help you to get through the experience and give you a little boost with confidence or whatever else you're bringing in.
