Hi this is Shauna Marie.
Let's move some invalidation out of our space.
Invalidation is something that we all experience at times whether it's from a stranger or loved one and I just am going to teach you a way to move it out of your space in this meditation.
So I invite you to just close your eyes and just start to really settle in your space.
Honor yourself for being here and just start to relax.
Drop your shoulders.
Notice your sit bone.
Start to really soften your face.
You can relax those eyebrows,
Your cheekbones,
Your jaw.
Say hello to your arms.
Soften your hands.
Notice your heart space.
Maybe just take a moment give your heart space a big hello.
Notice your stomach.
Just relax it.
Yeah soften your legs,
Your feet,
Your toes.
We feel that connection to the ground,
To the earth.
I invite you to step in to the space in the center of your head and from here we're just going to notice the energy around invalidation.
Just notice the energy and see what comes up for you.
Let's take a few moments.
No judgments here.
Just see what comes up when you look at invalidation.
You might just see a color here,
Maybe a type of movement.
Notice what type of invalidation you're receiving in your space or have been receiving lately.
Notice where this energy might be coming from.
It's coming from a stranger?
It's coming from society?
Is it coming from somebody that you care about?
Your family?
Is it coming from yourself?
Just notice what comes up.
There might be one that really pops up right away and there might be a collection of a lot of a different invalidation energy thrown at you.
So just notice what is coming up in your own space.
Now I want you to picture your body as translucent almost like it's glass like you can see right through it and picture your body being totally clear so that when that invalidation hits you just kind of moves right through.
Notice how invalidation thrown at you can just move totally through your body and come out the other side out of your space.
Just have that that invalidation leave your space.
Just move it out all the way through you and out.
Now let's look at the energy of validation.
What does that look like?
Is that a color?
Is there a movement to it?
Where have you been receiving validation from?
Can you take a moment and just validate yourself?
What type of validation energy would you like to bring in for yourself in this moment?
Just notice what comes up.
Kind of sit with this for a moment.
What type of validation would you like to give yourself in this moment?
And bring this validation into your body.
Bring it into your stomach.
Breathe it in.
Bring it into your heart.
Bring it into your throat.
Bring it into your head and allow this validation to be a part of you.
And anywhere else it needs to go just fill in those spots whether it's in your body or the space around you.
When you're all filled in,
Start to notice your feet.
Start to slowly sway your body.
Roll your shoulders.
When you're ready,
Slowly start to come out of meditation.
Anytime you feel like you're being hit with a bunch of invalidation from an outside source,
You can do this meditation and just see it move through your body and then just bring in your own validation to help you in the moment.
You can do this whenever you need to.
