He is passionate about mental health in general and the benefits afforded by meditation in particular, and has been meditating in both Jewish and Buddhist meditation practices for over 17 years, including silent Vipassana retreats in the Theravada and Mahasi traditions. Shalom is passionate about mental health accessibility, and believes that short, honest meditations around key challenges in our daily lives can be a powerful way to heal and improve our well-being.
