Welcome.

Today is a new day and now it's time to prepare your mind and body to help you enjoy what's to come.

Remember,

You can pause this meditation whenever you like and take your time.

Take a big breath in and out.

Dinner time is coming and maybe it's time to get curious about how your food is prepared so you feel good about appreciating the preparation process.

So how do you think your food is made?

Is it easy or challenging to make?

Do you think it's fun?

Would you ever want to see how your food is made because it may interest you and it could even be fun to try and help your parents prepare dinner for a short time.

Take a big breath in and out.

You may already know that fruits and vegetables give you the most vitamins and nutrients to keep you healthy for as long as possible.

Remember,

The most nutrients are in the vegetables that aren't entirely cooked and are still alive.

Take a big breath in and out.

What if I told you that new foods equal new exciting adventures?

You can still have the foods you like.

And remember,

The foods you like now were once new to you.

Please repeat after me.

New foods equal new adventures.

New foods equal new adventures.

Take a big breath in and out.

What if you tried something new to eat each week because you may like it?

And it's okay to not like every new food you try so long as you appreciate the people who prepared it for you.

Take a big breath in and out.

Finally,

It's time to relax and say our thank yous to remind us to appreciate life.

Are you ready?

Take another big breath in and out.

Very quietly,

Please repeat after me.

Thank you for my home that gives me a place to live.

Thank you for the food I eat that feeds me.

Thank you for my friends,

My family,

And my teachers who care for me.

Thank you for my parents who love me.

Thank you for my wonderful life.

Take one last big breath in and out,

And as you slowly open your eyes,

Let me leave you with these words.

It's a great day to be alive.

It's dinner time.
