The past is gone, the future not yet arisen, and yet we are continually pulled out of the present moment. Spinning thoughts grab onto intensity, completely missing what is happening now, which is almost always pretty simple. Our lifeline to the present is sensation. Connecting with the body, we can rest into what’s happening as it’s happening. The more we can relax into this simple presence the steadier we become.
