You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.
Hello my fellow hearkeners,
Welcome to today's meditation.
This meditation is a gentle reminder from Isaiah 26.
3 that true peace begins not when life is perfect,
Rather when we trust in God's presence and let that trust still our minds and hearts.
To begin,
I invite you to simply close your eyes and notice that with that simple act of closing your eyes,
Your mind naturally gets quieter,
Your spirit becomes more still.
Now,
Take a deep breath in and slowly release it.
Let your body settle,
Let your thoughts drift like leaves on a quiet stream.
The world often tells us to fix everything first,
To wait until the noise quiets,
The struggle ends,
The puzzle pieces fit.
Only then,
It says,
Will we be able to rest,
Will we find peace.
The spirit speaks a different truth,
The spirit invites us to peace first,
Not because life is perfect,
Rather because God is present.
Here's another way to put it,
Ego says,
Once everything falls into place,
You'll find peace.
Spirit says,
Once you find peace,
Everything will fall into place.
Once you find peace,
Everything will fall into place.
Let us take a moment to simply be present in the presence of the spirit.
Let us be present in the presence.
In this presence,
In this stillness,
We surrender the need to control.
We release that voice that says,
Not yet,
Not now,
Not enough.
We choose peace.
Because peace is not found in the world or in ego,
It is found in the spirit.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.
Let that verse anchor you,
Perfect peace,
Not from the world,
Perfect peace from trust.
And you don't have to wait for peace,
You carry it within,
Because you carry the spirit within.
Right now,
As you breathe,
Can you feel the spirit inviting you deeper,
Can you rest in the truth that everything doesn't need to fall into place for you to be whole?
Because peace has already been given,
It is a gift,
Not a reward.
Peace has already been given as a gift,
Not a reward.
Let's simply rest in that gift for a few moments,
The gift of peace.
When you're ready,
Bring your attention back to your physical surroundings.
Hold on to the peace you've found and let it guide your steps today.
And remember,
You don't have to wait for peace,
You carry it within,
Because you carry the spirit within.
Thank you for sharing this tender,
Sacred moment with me,
My fellow hearkeners.
May grace and peace,
Light and love,
Be with you.
