Come into this meditation when the pressures of life have been building,
When you perhaps feel anxious or worried about not being in the right place in your life.
Maybe you feel as though you're behind,
You're comparing yourself to others.
I want you to pause,
I want you to take this as a big cozy blanket of a meditation to reassure you and to bring you back to grounding.
So with that in mind maybe wrap yourself in blankets for this meditation,
Just make yourself so so cozy.
And when you find that place we're just going to slowly close down the eyes and we're going to come inwards together.
And just settling into your practice so allowing your belly to soften,
Your eyes to close and your shoulders to drop.
If you can allowing your spine to be straight but not in a pressured way.
Simply in a way you're signifying to your body you are coming into your practice.
And as you settle in starting to take some gentle breaths we're going to breathe in for four counts so breathing in through your nose one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Holding for just a moment and breathing out two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight and pausing and again breathing in two,
Three,
Four,
Holding for a moment and releasing everything as you breathe out two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight and softening more and more each time so letting go of necessarily counting the breath and just finding an actual rhythm.
Perhaps really focusing on the breath there really brought you into the body at a slower pace than you've maybe been all day.
Just absorbing my words as an affirmation as you breathe here words of reassurance,
Comfort,
Affirmative.
You may be carrying a weight at the moment as though you need to be doing more as though you should be somewhere else by now in your life.
Maybe even that you've fallen behind but everyone's got it figured out except you but stay breathing with me because you are not behind.
I promise you you are not behind because it's not possible to be behind.
Life and the world right now is feeling both heavy,
Confusing and hugely changing and it can feel as though you're really going against the tide.
You are not alone in that.
This is not just you getting it wrong.
This is huge collective change we're moving through.
Breathing as you absorb these words finding stillness in the body.
What would it be like to begin to believe that you are right on time for your life?
That every soul moves through its own seasons?
Nothing about your pace is wrong.
Know where you should be by now because we can be there and then life changes again.
No one's somehow getting this right because there is no right.
You are allowed to rest between chapters.
You are allowed to be uncertain.
You are allowed to not know what's next.
The world can make you feel as though you're supposed to have it all mapped out but those stories are built on comparison and comparison is the faith of peace and joy.
You are not a checklist.
You are a living breathing work of art and you're still forming,
Changing.
Affirming to yourself I am not late.
My path unfolds in perfect timing.
It's safe to trust where I am.
Just allowing all of those words to land in your heart and I'm going to give you a few moments just simply absorbing all of that.
So gently,
Gently,
Gently bringing yourself back now just coming back into your body before you blink your eyes open having a little more awareness of your body,
Your shoulders,
Your legs,
Your feet.
Maybe moving or stretching the body out to signify that you're coming to the end of your practice and taking note of any weight that's been released as you've listened to those affirmations.
Perhaps a lightness in your body,
Perhaps even tears or emotion that was released.
So when you're ready rolling your shoulders back,
Blinking your eyes open,
Coming back to the space you're in and seeing if as you go into the rest of your day you can just simply give yourself what it is you're needing and allow yourself to ponder what if I'm allowed to be right where I am.
What if it's not me that's getting life wrong but that life is just full of a lot of ups and downs and it's pretty hard.
I wonder how that compassion could soften how you go about the rest of your day.
Sending you lots of warmth.
I'm Scarlet,
Please feel free to come back to this anytime you need it's always here for you.
I'll see you again soon.
