Namaste.
For today's guided practice I invite you to find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed for the next few minutes.
Sit in any comfortable posture of your choice.
You may do the practice while sitting cross-legged on your yoga mat or on your bed.
You can also do this while seated on a chair.
Once you have found the seat of your choice,
Place your hands on your thighs,
Palms facing up towards the ceiling,
Elbows close to the body,
Back straight.
Gently close your eyes and give yourself permission to take the next few minutes just for yourself.
In today's guided session I shall be singing a Shanti mantra or a peace chant.
You may choose to only listen to the chant or you may feel free to join in anytime that you feel ready.
There is no need to change the way that you're breathing.
Allow your breath to flow in and out of your body naturally,
Rhythmically.
As you continue breathing in and out,
Move your awareness to your belly region.
This is the part of you that is responsible for creation.
Praying for peace and calm in this region.
Move your awareness to the center of your chest now.
The part of you that is responsible for love and compassion,
Creating some peace and calm in this region.
Move your awareness to the center of your forehead now.
The part of you that is responsible for intellect and intuition,
Creating some peace and calm in this region.
May you be surrounded by love and peace the entire day today.
If you would like to continue meditating please feel free to do that.
Otherwise allow yourself to gently wake up from this state of trance.
Come back to this practice as often as you would like to.
