Hello,

Welcome to this meditation.

I am Sarah.

And today we are going to focus on grounding ourselves,

Connecting deeply with our bodies,

And fostering a sense of empowerment and trust.

Whether you're here as a parent seeking to guide your child,

Or simply as someone who wants to strengthen your connection to your own body.

This meditation is a step towards self-awareness and advocacy.

I am so grateful for you being here.

Let's get started.

Find a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose.

And exhale slowly through your mouth.

Let's do that again.

Breathe in deeply feeling your chest expand and exhale letting your shoulders soften and drop.

Feel the surface beneath you supporting your body.

Notice the way it holds you.

Allow yourself to settle into this space.

Feeling safe,

Grounded and present.

Now I invite you to bring your attention to your body.

Starting at the top of your head,

The crown of your head.

And we're going to scan slowly down.

Notice your forehead.

Allow your forehead to release,

Softening any tension you might hold here.

Relax your jaw,

Letting it release,

Letting the tension melt.

Move your awareness down your neck to your shoulders.

And just allowing this neck and shoulder area to soften,

Softening the muscles around the neck,

Allowing the shoulders to drop and release.

Allowing your arms to feel heavy.

And allowing your hands to relax.

Thinking about each and every finger and thumb.

Imagine relaxing the muscles in all areas of your hands.

Feel the rise and fall of your chest with each breath.

As you breathe in,

Gathering the energy in your chest.

And as you breathe out,

Imagining that your ribcage expands that you can feel an opening and opening letting this beautiful light out of you out of your heart.

And you inhale that energy concentrates in your heart.

And then as you exhale,

You feel this light shining from you.

As your ribcage expands.

One more time,

Inhale,

Gather the energy,

Bring it all into the chest.

And then exhale,

Open and allow your body to release this beautiful light.

Good.

Now moving down further,

Relaxing your stomach.

We often hold our stomach muscles and intentionally relaxing them.

Imagining that we've got a nice soft blanket on top of our stomach or maybe some heat and just imagining those muscles relaxing and melting under that warmth.

Imagining our hips turning outward as they relax and let go.

Allowing your thighs to melt and feel beautifully relaxed.

All the muscles letting go.

Your knees feeling so much relief and their ability to just let go.

Imagining your calves and feeling that relaxation all around this muscle.

Moving now to your feet.

Feeling the heel relax.

The ankle all along your foot,

The edges,

The arch.

And then imagine all the toes.

This relaxation energy moving up and down in between the toes.

So all your toes are relaxed and at ease.

Take a moment to appreciate all the ways your body supports you.

Feeling your body supported by the earth,

Beautiful Mother Gaia.

Think about how your body moves.

It feels,

It speaks to you.

And just silently say to yourself,

My body is my home.

And I honor it.

My body is my home.

And I honor it.

My body is my home.

And I honor it.

Bring your attention now to your throat.

Imagine a soft,

Warm light glowing at the center of your throat.

This is the seed of your voice,

Your ability to speak your truth,

To advocate for yourself and others,

To express love and boundaries.

With each breath,

See this light growing stronger.

It's vibrant and steady,

A symbol of your inner power.

And just feeling that light taking away the darkness,

Growing in strength and power with every breath.

And repeating after me,

My voice matters.

I trust myself to speak my truth.

My voice matters.

I trust myself to speak my truth.

My voice matters.

I trust myself to speak my truth.

If you're a parent,

Take a moment to imagine your child's voice growing strong to picture them standing tall,

Feeling confident,

Knowing their words are powerful and meaningful.

Together,

You are both learning and growing.

Now shift your focus to the edges of your body.

Imagine a soft,

Glowing boundary surrounding you,

A protective,

Loving shield.

This shield represents your autonomy,

And your right to feel safe and protected.

Feeling it all around you,

This beautiful glow,

A cocoon that surrounds you.

Feel its presence.

It's strong,

Yet flexible,

Allowing in love and support,

But keeping out anything that doesn't serve you.

Repeating after me,

I honor my boundaries,

And I trust myself to protect them.

I honor my boundaries,

And I trust myself to protect them.

I honor my boundaries,

And I trust myself to protect them.

If you're a parent,

Imagine your child surrounded by their own protective shield.

Picture them learning to set boundaries,

Knowing you're there to support them as they grow.

Imagine this shield surrounding your child.

Watch as it goes all around this beautiful white light cocooning them.

Now take a few deep breaths.

Nice big inhale and exhale.

Inhaling again.

And exhale.

Feel the connection you've created with your body and your voice.

Let this sense of empowerment and safety stay with you as you move through the rest of your day.

When you're ready,

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes,

Waking them up,

Bringing a little bit of movement back into your body,

Letting yourself know that it's time to come back into this world.

And slowly open your eyes,

Returning to the room,

Feeling grounded,

Present,

And empowered.
