This is Sarah Eiler with Deep Rest Yoga.
Welcome to this Yoga Nidra nap to increase your vitality.
This meditation is perfect for those afternoons when your energy feels low or those mornings when you wake up feeling depleted.
Anytime you feel that slump of energy in your day,
Finding a comfortable position now,
Adjusting your body in a way that releases tension in your neck,
Shoulders,
Hips,
Low back.
Closing down your eyes,
The windows to the outside world.
Beginning to go within.
Taking several long deep breaths,
Filling up the belly like a balloon,
Allowing the belly to fully fill with air.
And then releasing it slowly and gently.
Imagine your breath flowing into all areas of your body.
All the spaces filled up with breath.
The breath waxing and waning.
The mind steady and calm.
Releasing any effort and allowing the breath to naturally circulate through your body.
Taking a moment to really feel into your body.
Scanning your body from head to toe.
Taking an inventory of each body part.
Noticing whatever you discover without judgment.
Noticing any areas of tightness or pain.
Any areas of constriction.
What areas of your body are calling out for attention?
Bringing in a sense of peace and calm.
Bringing in presence and deep awareness.
Noticing any shifts in energy as you continue to just breathe naturally and effortlessly.
I invite you now to imagine that you're lying in a beautiful place in nature.
A place that you've visited in real life or in your imagination.
Anywhere in nature that fills you with a sense of peace,
Connection.
Imagine that you're lying here in your favorite place in nature.
Feeling the warmth of the sun on your face.
Your face and whole body basking in the warmth of the sun.
Allowing it to wash away any residue from the day.
Celebrating this feeling of warmth and energy.
Filled up with the sun's healing rays.
As you continue to rest in the sunlight,
Start to bring in a positive intention statement or Sankalpa.
What do you want to call in today?
Using an I am statement to plant the seed of truth within.
And if you're not currently working with your own intention,
You can use the intention I am filled with energy and vitality.
Imagining this brilliant sun radiating pure sunlight down on your whole body.
Your whole body enveloped in its glow.
The sunlight cascading down and flowing into the crown of your head.
The whole head enveloped in its glow.
Feel the warmth of the sunlight penetrating and flowing through both hemispheres of your brain.
Both temples.
The center of the forehead.
Both eyebrows.
Both eyes.
Allowing the light to cleanse and purify both eyes and eye sockets.
Both ears and ear canals.
Sunlight bathing the entire nose.
Both cheekbones and the entire mouth.
The inside of both cheeks.
The entire tongue.
Gums.
Both lips.
The chin.
And the whole head.
Allow the light to release any heaviness,
Stress or negativity.
Your whole head filled with radiant light.
Sunlight flowing down into both arms.
Hands.
And into all ten fingers.
Sunlight washing away any stress,
Any heaviness.
Flowing down the upper chest and into the belly.
Flowing through both hips.
Legs.
Feet.
And all ten toes.
Whole body filled with sunlight.
Dissolving any lingering tension or worries.
Sunlight pouring down from above bathing your entire body in its warmth.
Imagining the light infusing every particle of your being.
Feeling its brightness filling you with vitality.
Its golden glow washing away any tension or worry.
Bringing in a sense of stillness,
Tranquility and peace.
Lulled into a state of deep rest.
In a state of pure presence.
Just coming back to your breath.
To that deep belly breathing.
Filling the whole belly with air.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose.
And a big exhale out of the mouth.
Bringing in some tiny movements now.
Maybe rotating your wrists.
Moving your jaw from side to side.
Rolling your shoulders up and back.
Shifting your hips.
Stretching your body out long.
And starting to come back to the room where you're practicing.
Noticing any shifts in your energy.
Noticing how you feel compared to when we first started our practice together.
Thank you for letting me guide you through this yoga nidra nap.
Remembering that you can always return to this visualization whenever you feel the need to.
Any time you feel like you need to recharge your battery.
The light in me honors the light that you are.
And I want to remind you that you are not alone.
You are not alone.
The light in me honors the light in you.
Wishing you a beautiful,
Productive,
And peaceful day.
Go in peace.
