Good morning and welcome to this breathwork session.
Take a moment to find a comfortable position,
Whether you are sitting upright or lying down.
Gently close your eyes and begin to soften your gaze.
As you start your day,
Let's take a few moments to consciously shift your energy.
You don't need to do anything,
Be anywhere,
Or solve anything as of this moment.
This time is for you to ground your nervous system before the world begins to ask for your attention.
We are going to use a rhythmic pattern to calm the body and focus the mind.
We will inhale for a count of 5,
Hold at the top for 3 and enjoy a long,
Slow exhale for a count of 8.
The long exhale is the key to signaling safety and awareness to your brain and whole body.
Let's begin together.
Exhale all the air out of your lungs.
Begin inhaling deeply through your nose.

Inhaling deeply through your nose.

And release the breath count.
Come back to your normal breath.
Gently bring your focus back to the count.
Notice the expansion of your chest on the inhalation.
The stillness during the hold and the sense of letting go as you reach the end of that long 8 count exhale.
Last round,
Inhaling one.

5.
Hold it at the very top.

Exhale slowly.

Let go the release of the count.
Or turn back to your natural breath.
Allow yourself to melt a little deeper onto your seat or bed.
Allow your breath slowly to return to its effortless natural rhythm.
Notice how your body feels different than it did just a few minutes ago before you started breathing this practice.
Before you open your eyes,
Consider one intention for your day.
What quality do you want to bring into your interactions or your work?
Inviting more gentleness,
More love.
Patient.
Perhaps focusing on a sense of ease.
And bring that energy towards your heart.
Whenever you're ready,
Bring some gentle movement back into your body.
Wiggle your toes,
Fingers,
Roll your shoulders back,
And slowly blink your eyes open.
May you carry this stillness with you as you step into this beautiful day ahead.
Much Love!
