Greetings friends and welcome.
Welcome to this journey of immersion in the sounds of nature.
This series of sounds of the natural world will differ from some of my other meditations in that I won't be talking quite as much.
I want to give you a chance to bathe in the sounds and find rest.
But I will be here to guide you in and guide you out of the journey.
I hope that you find it soothing and calming when perhaps the mind,
The body or your day-to-day world is feeling busy and noisy.
So let us find our restful place.
You may be seated or lie down.
Make sure that you feel warm and comfortable and supported for this journey into a little peacefulness,
A little calm.
And of letting the sounds of nature soothe and settle you.
Listen to the sounds.
Perhaps you visualise a place in nature.
You may see trees above you or blue skies or clustered clouds.
And the gentle sounds of water moving around you,
Soothing and calming.
The element of water is connected to ideas of washing away,
Cleansing,
But also of gentle power.
The sounds of water here may be an invitation to let go of the day.
An invitation to find a rhythm of breath,
Slow,
Unhurried and powerful.
Allow your mind's eye to create senses around you.
You may hear sounds.
You may also visualise sights,
Smells,
Sensations upon the skin.
It is here we will rest.
And if perhaps I have been beside you in voice thus far upon the journey,
Now is when I let go of your hand and let you know that I am nearby.
It is time to move into your own journey.
Don't worry,
I'll be back to let you know when it's time to return to the world.
But for now,
Let yourself be.
A precious moment in time to let go.
So,
My dearest ones,
Perhaps all together we'll take a nice deep inhale and sigh it out through the mouth.
Pouring in and letting go.
Take as many of these deep breaths as you wish.
You may wish to wiggle the fingers and toes or stretch or move in any way you like.
This was a longer meditation than many I recall,
With ten whole minutes of me not talking.
So if you find that your mind wandered,
It is perfectly normal.
This can be a beautiful practice just to find your own peaceful place in meditation,
Away from excess noise.
Just letting the sounds of nature and a little music guide your way.
Whenever you feel ready,
I invite you to come to an easy seat perhaps,
Take another stretch and when you feel ready,
Gently open the eyes.
I welcome you back from your place of nature,
The watery wonderland.
I look forward to journeying with you again soon.
Thank you so much.
Farewell for now.
