According to legend King Arthur's Knights of the round table were blessed in the waters of St Nectarns Kieve. And ill-fated lovers Tristan (One of King Arthur’s knights) and Isold (Irish Princess, married to king Mark of Cornwall) sought refuge at the Hermitage of the glen when fleeing their fate.
