There are days we feel weighed down and stuck.
Here's a short meditation practice to help us to move through it.
Thank you for listening.
Let's come down to our seat.
As you see it get really grounded to the earth.
Feel the rest of the body settling into the space around you.
Acknowledge the sky above you as you lift the spine up and keep the chin up slightly.
Allow the eyes to melt and slightly open the lips.
Let's keep our hands on our legs with palms facing up.
Staying here and becoming aware of our seated posture.
Becoming aware from the feet all the way up towards the crown of the head and sweeping that awareness back down towards the feet.
Feeling the skin on our body and the soft breath underneath the skin.
Some days we feel heavier energetically or emotionally.
Let's be open and accepting of how we are feeling.
Know that we cannot always force ourselves to be happy.
By acknowledging our feelings we can then move past them with patience and self compassion.
Let's bring our palms together and rub them really well.
Creating some heat between the palms.
Now place your palms over the eyes.
Let the warmth and darkness soften the eyes.
Keeping the hands on the eyes now connect to the natural rhythm of the breath.
Start to deepen that breath by taking deep inhales and exhales.
Let's take a long inhale and exhale out through the mouth.
Release your hands back onto the legs.
Stay with the awareness to the breath.
Let the waves of the breath move smoothly like water.
Water is cleansing and purifying.
The flowing breaths just like the flowing water cleansing from the core to the surface of the body.
Cleansing from the inner to the edges of the body.
Wherever you feel heavy and stuck take the breath awareness to that space.
Allow the breath to smooth out the inner deep spaces of the body.
And now hold the hands a few inches away from the pelvis with palms facing in.
Again hold the hands in front of the pelvis with palms facing in.
On the inhale sweep the palms up towards the third eye or between the brow line and open the hands out towards the sky.
On the exhale bring the hands down the same way in front of the third eye,
The spine and in front of the pelvis.
Repeat this.
On the inhale sweep the hands in front of the pelvis,
The spine,
The third eye and open the hands to the sky.
As you exhale bring the hands down the same way back down in front of the pelvis.
Continuing this movement of the hands moving up on the inhale and then on the exhale bringing the hands back down.
As you move your hands up and down using the breath and the movement of the hands as a way of cleansing and purifying our bodies and the space around us and within us.
Become effortless in this movement.
Feeling the energy in your hands,
The energy between the body and the hands,
The energy between the body and the space around you.
Now bring the palms together and place them on the third eye or between the brow line.
Sense the hands on the third eye.
Let it soften your whole face,
Soften the deep breath in and exhale out through the mouth.
As you feel your hands,
Your palms together on your third eye,
Allow the gateways to open to clarity through the third eye.
Now bring those hands to the heart space.
Keeping the palms together on your heart space.
Take a deep breath in and exhale out through the mouth.
Connecting to your hands on your heart space,
Allowing the gateways of the heart to open and allowing the peaceful energy within to flow.
Let that peaceful energy flow effortlessly through the whole body.
Now bring your hands back down and rest them on your legs.
Continue to experience the ever flowing energy from the center to the surface of the body.
As you settle into the seeds,
Settle into this flow of the breath,
Settle into the flowing energy.
Embrace this open awareness.
Embrace the inner peace.
