Hello,
This meditation can be used for times when you are mentally exhausted.
So I thank you for choosing this meditation and hope it will give you some ease and rest.
Let's take a seat on the ground or on a chair.
Lift your spine up and gently release the shoulders down towards the earth.
Let your eyelids be heavy towards the earth.
Bring some softness to your face by parting your lips and unlocking the jaw.
Bring your palms together and place them between the brow line.
Sense your hands on your forehead.
Pause here for a few seconds.
Now take a deep breath in and exhale out through the mouth.
Release the left hand to the heart space and right hand to the belly.
Sense your hands on your body.
Take a deep breath in and exhale out through the mouth.
Watch your arms rest by your side with palms up.
As you sit here make an intention.
I am here to listen and be open to receive.
Let the simplicity of this moment guide me.
Let the following words steep into your awareness.
Know that even if I cannot control everything around me,
I can control my thoughts.
Know that the noise around me doesn't disturb me unless I allow it to do so.
Know that life can move fast around me but I can choose to slow my life down.
Know that when the world around me is restless,
I can find my inner peace.
Our thoughts are like waves on the ocean.
The waves on the surface are impacted by the atmosphere,
Sometimes causing turbulence on the surface of the ocean.
However deep in the ocean,
The water is calm.
You are like the vast ocean.
The thoughts are like the waves,
Sometimes causing turbulence on the surface.
However deep within your heart space lies the stillness,
Just like in the depths of the ocean.
Feel each rolling in and out breath in your heart space.
Now anchor the mind to that rhythm in the heart space.
Let the mind rest here.
Simply allowing the mind to rest in this healing rhythm.
The mind honors this deep place and follows the ebb and flow of the breath.
Feeling each inhale rise to the surface of your body and as you exhale,
Reaching inwards into the heart space.
Each inhale invites expansiveness.
Each exhale brings lightness.
Continue to be with the movements of the breath.
Now let's take a deep breath in and sigh it out through the mouth.
Settling back into the deep space within your heart.
Here you feel what it is like to be at peace.
A sense of peace that is healing and calming.
A sense of peace that expands through you.
Take refuge in this place.
Let that inner peace wrap around you like a blanket providing warmth,
Ease and lightness.
Let it remind you that you have the capacity within you to be at peace.
To hold yourself in peace.
Because you are peace.
Repeat this mantra to yourself.
I am peace.
I am peace.
I am peace.
Now feel your body in this space and time.
Feel the air on your skin.
Listen to the sounds in your space.
Simply open your eyes to this moment,
This moment that is rich and alive.
You are awakening to this experience,
To this moment.
From here allow the peace within you to guide you.
Om Shanti.
Om Shanti.
