Thank you for joining me on this meditation.

This meditation was created for those times when we feel overwhelmed and burdened by our responsibilities.

Responsibilities of being a mom,

Husband,

Wife,

Brother,

Caregiver,

Or in any other role.

When we only see and act in the world through these roles,

One can get lost,

Exhausted,

And feel limited.

Most of us go through this in life and that makes it a compelling reason to dedicate some time every day for reconnection to oneself.

So thank you for joining and recognizing that you need your own nourishment,

Self-compassion,

And truly to connect to who you are.

Instead of looking out,

Look within and be whole.

So let's get ready for our meditation.

Let's take a seat with our spine upright,

Arms by our side,

With our hands resting on our legs.

Ground the sit bones to the earth.

Let the shoulders relax.

Draw the chin up.

Soften the eyes.

And part the lips.

Take a few more seconds here to feel your body in this moment.

Feel your presence here and now.

If your mind is busy,

With gratitude let go of any attachments to the outer world for right now.

Let your mind follow the breath and allow the breath to awaken you to yourself.

Feel your breath moving in and out.

And consciously breathe to my count.

Inhale to four counts and exhale to four counts through the nose.

Inhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Now breathe on your own.

Inhale to four,

Exhale to four.

So let's take a deep inhale,

Inhale to the top.

Open the mouth and exhale it out.

One more time,

Inhale and open the mouth and exhale it out.

Slowly moving into your natural pace of your breath.

And rest in the awareness of the natural pace of your breath.

We will chant an internal mantra so hum as we breathe in and out through the natural rhythm of the breath.

On the inhale,

Internally chanting so,

Exhale hum,

So hum.

On the inhale so,

On the exhale hum.

So hum means I am.

As we breathe in and out,

Each in breath becomes so,

Each exhale becomes hum,

So hum.

As you see there is nothing that follows after I am so hum.

Any role you hold to your family,

Work,

Friends are now resolved.

So hum asks you to follow your breath and your breath will guide you to your core,

To your truth.

Let go of others' expectations from you or your own expectations on yourself.

Keep breathing and keep that internal mantra moving inside you,

So hum.

On the inhale so,

Exhale hum.

Allow this mantra to bring more lightness to your being.

Let this mantra infuse into the skin and to the deeper layers within.

So hum,

I am.

Allow this mantra to hold you here for a few more minutes.

In those minutes you will hear the sound of the singing bowl and if the mind has wandered elsewhere,

Let the vibration of the singing bowl bring you back to your breath and so hum.

You will hear the hum.

The bell is invited.

The bell is invited.

The bell is invited.

The bell is invited.

The bell is invited.

The bell is invited.

Let's take a deep breath through the nose.

Inhale.

Exhale through the mouth.

Once more.

Inhale.

And exhale through the mouth.

Place your left hand on your heart center and right hand on your belly.

So hum,

Guiding me to my truth,

My spirit,

Or essence.

It is through this connection to the deeper self within me that I serve all those around me.

Let's bring the palms together in prayer pose in front of the heart.

Let the spirit within me guide me.

Namaste.
